Genevieve
"Because I can't live without you, my Angel. Please say you will be only mine. - Your Devil"
My hands sat flush against the cool windowpane as I stared longingly across the void, studying Damien's last message in the window. My eyes dropped down, scanning the second page he had taped below. "In vain have I struggled. It will not do. My feelings will not be repressed. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you. - Mr. Darcy"
Nearly three weeks. It had been nearly three fucking weeks. I didn't even get to say goodbye to him, hold him tight, kiss his sweet soft lips before he left.
I understood that he had to leave. I shouldn't be feeling like this, but I couldn't help it. I fucking missed him.
So did Pandora.
We hadn't spoken since he left. I had sent the occasional text message, to which he never responded. I was doing my best to be supportive in what he needed but it hurt. It hurt so fucking much to know that he was fine without talking to me for three weeks.
When I had arrived home from Tammy's house that Sunday morning, I walked into my living room and the site in the window stopped me in my tracks. Every message he had left prior, made sense. This is what it had all been leading up to. Making our relationship official.
Dropping everything in my hands, I had run over to his house. His door was locked, and he didn't answer. I no longer had the key he had given to me, returning it during one of my trips over there. It didn't feel right keeping it at the time.
