Anastasia received a letter from Severus and was not pleased with what it said. It had been two weeks since their conversation at Halloween and clearly Sev hadn't thought about what he was writing, otherwise he wouldn't have written it. The git had written;

Dear Angelica

To say I have been shocked these last few weeks would be an understatement. You forgot to mention that your friend Miss Morgenstern is extremely manipulative and is an attention seeking chit. You also failed to mention you would be alerting her of my letter to you. Why would you jeopardise the ally ship I am clearly trying to build with her?

She is now in such a position that no matter what the Staff does, she cannot be touched. She's the current HBIC, whatever that means. And they keep calling her "Heather" It's confusing when she actually has a friend called Heather. Anyway, even if she loses status as Prefect we're fucked. She has more influence than the Head Girl and Head Boy. Combined. I don't doubt she could turn the entire student body against us.

This feud has gone WAY too far, and I am under enough pressure with Albus' games without having to deal with this bullshit. Anastasia did NOT have to humiliate the boy in front of the entire school! The Gryffindors are near rioting according to Minerva (who says hello by the way) and I fear she is right. This CANNOT escalate into secret duels, as the rumours are saying will happen. We can't afford that to occur. It could destroy the school.

You girls are playing with chess pieces you do not fully comprehend. Parents are talking about getting involved. We can't have a Franz Ferdinand situation on our hands. They want Pettigrew's Order of Merlin revoked! These demands have gone way off the deep end and we're lost as to what to do.

As your brother it's my job to look after you and your loved ones no matter what but I can't do that if you don't let me do my job.

Regards,
Prof. Severus Snape
Potions Master (PM)
Head of Slytherin House
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Anastasia crumpled up the letter and grabbed her inkwell and some parchment. He wants answers? She'd give him some.

Dear Severus

You're a twat. I wouldn't bitch about someone's friend if said friend had leverage and that someone clearly showed loyalty to this, "Adversary" shall we say? I could end the letter here and let you crap yourself because I know how paranoid you are, but I won't. I'll give you a fucking explanation.

I told Anastasia because she wrote to me, full of anxiety saying you kept looking at her with guilt in your eyes one day and it didn't stop. So I told her. She was furious I told you but understood. She, like me loves her family and knew why I wanted to help. However there is something we both agree on. You treat your students like shit. And it's unacceptable.

But she also knows something else.

You. Broke. Your. Promise.

Angelica.

She sent the letter, satisfied her brother would get the message.

Two days later Severus was opening his post in the Staffroom, Quirrel thankfully absent as he swore loudly. Albus and Minerva rushed over.
"What's wrong my boy?" Albus asked, concerned.
"She knows. She knows Lucius and I took the Mark. Elizabeth must've told her about the mark on our arms, she saw it on our arms that day. We, along with Regulus had promised not to join." Severus said, face paler than usual.
"Well she was bound to find out, Severus. Those two girls were very close. Didn't she name Elizabeth Godmother of her child?" Minerva reasoned.
"Yes, and gave the child her twin sister's name as her middle name." Severus replied. He didn't like thinking about his niece, Serena. It hurt too much.
"Even still, maybe you can still use it as a bargaining chip? Tell her what you've done since taking the Mark." Hooch suggested.
"Since when do you think like a Slytherin?" asked Sprout.
"Since I began teaching here." Hooch chortled.
