                                                                              Maxine

I practically ran to the office and when I got there I came to a screeching halt when I came face to face with Skye. She was leaned up against the wall next to the office window. "Not going in?" I ask skeptically. She just rolls her eyes as if I should already know the answer to that question.

"You know exactly why I will not go in there, and nothing, and I mean nothing you say will make me go into that room with those idiots who call themselves our parents. I get it. According to our parents we're 'best friends' but I hate you, I despise of Baylie and I could careless about Juliet and nothing anyone says - including them - will change that," She blurts out, before going back to her phone. Probably texting Blake who was more than likely paying no attention to whatever the principal was saying.

I look at her then take a step towards the door. "I see how you look at him," She says suddenly, making be stop before touching the door handle. I look towards her and my eyes meet hers; her eyes filled with mischief and mine probably filled with fear. "The look of lust. Pain. Longing. It was the same looks that me and Blake use to give each other before we ended up having sex in the back of his truck; before 9th Grade Prom," She tells me, she drops her arms to her side before smirking at me.

"Don't say anything, please. I don't need Isabelle killing me for something that's out of my control. I mean...it's not like I even have a chance with him. He's, he's like you and Blake and everyone else. He's so much better then me," I tell her softly and she just looks me dead in the eye.

"I can help you. Come around my around 5 this evening. I'll help you get ready for dinner," Skye tells me, this is really an offer I can't decline but the look on her face tells me I'll HAVE to do something in return for this favor.

"No. No. Why would you betray Isabelle like that? She knows everything there is to know about you," I say, and she just shrugs.

"I'm bored, and her and Will are easy to play with because she's so insecure. Apparently Will doesn't even want her," Skye says as if it's nothing. It isn't nothing, their lives aren't a game like she thinks they are. Isabelle? Insecure? That's a lie and a joke as if I have ever saw one. Will, not wanting Isabelle. The next best thing to Skylar. "What's wrong?  Scared of rejection? That's nothing. You have nothing to lose really from being rejected by him. You lost your ranking back in 7th Grade when you pranced you straight A's around the class room. Popularity is everything and you don't have that. So nothing to lose at all," Skye tells me. Naming off the one thing that I have lost the most in the past 5 years.

"Who does he want exactly?" I ask, trying to shake off this feeling that everything that Skye's planning on doing is going to backfire on me.

"I don't know exactly, he'll never tell me because Isabelle is my other half. I have a pretty good idea on who it is but I won't let that happen if you want him. Maybe this will go well and I won't have to hate you anymore," Skye said, getting into not so much detail on what could happen if she made this happen for me.

No more being kicked ot the ground.

No more only having Rose as a friend.

Maybe actually getting a boyfriend.

A deal I can't pass up. "What do you want me to do in return exactly?" I ask, risking it. What do I have to lose really? Skylar stated there that I have nothing to lose and it's so ture. Plus, Skylar always go what she wanted, and yeah Isabelle looks happy with Will and Will looks happy with Isabelle but, from what Skylar's telling me, there's something going on behind closed doors.
