It was late afternoon, the sun was barely setting, it was a nice day the temperature was perfect. You stood leaning against the balcony in your room. You were bored, you'd think being the princess life would be more interesting. You sighed as you looked out the balcony, you noticed that there was something out in the garden, you were intrigued.

You decided to head out to investigate, after all you had nothing to do. As you peeked through the arch of the red rose garden you saw a few blue feathers standing up on the other side of the fountain. You slowly walked inside of the garden, walking to the other side of the fountain, just enough for you to get a look at what was on the other side.

You peeked and saw the knight! The blue feathers must have been the thing on his helmet. He was facing the other way looking at the flowers and smelling their sweet aroma. You thought it would be funny to sneak up on him and scare him! As you slowly tip toed towards the knight you reached your arms out just enough to touch his shoulders, then BAM! You push him slightly but strong enough for him to feel. He gasps loudly at the contact and quickly turns around pulling out his sword and pointing it towards you.

He eyes open wide surprised to see you "Oh princess! I beg your pardon I didn't mean to threaten you with my sword, you just startled me that's all." He says putting his sword away.

You smile at him holding your hands behind your back giggling a little. "Oh no it's ok, after all I did scare you. I'm sorry it was just too tempting." You say laughing a little remembering the look on his face.

The knight chuckled a little "Yes my face must have looked silly, but princess what are you doing out here? It's getting late after all." The knight said looking a you with concern on his face.

"Oh I was just bored, being royalty is quite boring. I'd rather be a knight like you! Going on adventures protecting the kingdom, wow it sounds so amazing!" You say looking at him almost explode from explaining how amazing it all sounded.

The knight smiled at you, he thought the way you so passionately spoke about being a knight too was adorable. He looked at you softly admiring how cute you looked.

"Thank you for your admiration, but of course soon you will be great queen and make many decisions for the kingdom." The knight said knowing that sadly you could not achieve your dream and become a knight.

"I suppose you are right.." you say sorta bummed out "But you know what! That won't stop me from being the best queen I can!" You light up thinking about the future and other ways you could help your citizens. The knight chuckles a bit, happy that you're not bummed out from missing out on being a knight. You look up at the sky and see that the moon has replaced the sun with a pretty blue light.

"Oh I didn't notice it got so late..." You say a little sad knowing you're conversation with the knight will have to come to an end. "Um... would you mind walking me to the castle, I'd like to spend just a bit more time with you if that's ok." You say shyly looking away,slightly blushing hoping he wouldn't reject your offer.

The knight looked at you smiling, his cheeks were a deep pink color. He didn't think you'd enjoy spending time with him, it made him happy to know you wanted to spend every last second you could with him.

"Of course, I don't mind at all princess." The knight said softly. You look up and smile back at him blushing even more than before.

The walk back to the castle was silent. It was a comfortable yet awkward silence, you both walked close to each other. Sometimes your elbow and his would brush past each other, making the butterflies in your stomach flutter even more. You wondered if he felt the same strange feelings you did. You looked up to see the huge castle in front of you, realizing you and the knights walk had come to an end. You turned around to look up at the knight, he had a soft gaze while he looked down at you.

"Thanks a lot for walking with me it was nice." You smile to yourself and take a small pause. "When I become queen, I'll make you my personal knight so I can see you every day!" You say while looking at the   Knights face. His eyes widened a bit at your statement, you could see his face warming up.

"Well goodnight, I hope to see you soon." You say as you quickly kiss his cheek. Before he could get a word in, you quickly made your way up the staircase and into your room. The knight stood there holding his hand softly to his cheek where you left your kiss mark. He smiled to himself and thought "I think I've fallen in love..."
