can't believe kyle fell for the whole "isla totally likes you" fiasco. it's so fun being manipulative. or maybe everyone's just easy for me to target. whichever works.
hopefully isla and kyle's hangout will go great and make isla finally ready for a relationship.

isla doesn't like kyle. it's obvious! to me, at least. i mean, i don't know, i can just sense it when someone likes someone. at least, i was always right about who liked who in high school and let's just say i'm a pretty good matchmaker.

"iiiisla!" kyle said my name the way he usually does and snapped me out of my thoughts.
i looked over to him. "mhm?"
"it's just that you did the thing where you zone out and just stare at thin air."
i blushed. "i'm sorry."
he laughed and said, "hey, hey, no need to be sorry. but you also do blush a lot."
my cheeks turned even more red, if that was possible. "i'm sorry! i can't control it!"
"stop apologizing, it's not a bad thing. and here we are, my favorite pizza place," he added.
my eyes lit up. "pizza? i love pizza!"
suddenly, kyle looked excited. "you do? good! i thought maybe you'd get mad at me because i expected you to have the same eating habits as britta."
"oh, no. pizza is the best. i would never give up pizza, chocolates, chips, junk, and fast food for a great body. although i do get conscious sometimes and-- sorry, i should stop talking."
kyle smiled. "nah, your body is great. and keep talking, i love your voice."
and for the nth time in my life, i blushed.

i'd like to say everything was perfect, but that would be lying. britta came in the pizza parlor accompanied by calum and they were seated a few tables away from us. i don't know what it was, but it made me feel something, seeing them together.
to feel better, i reminded myself that isla likes me.
i looked away from the two and saw that isla had a slight frown.
"you okay?" i asked.
she looked up. "huh? oh, yeah."
