i got to classes early today, so i sat at isla's seat, leaning over to calum's. she wouldn't mind, she's nice and sweet.
"sup, man?"
calum mumbled, "nothing." his attention on the doodle he was working on.

damn. why naïve, innocent isla when there's hot, sexy britta?
i reconsidered. do i want anyone else's eyes on my girl? nah. i guess it's good that he's for the other girl.
"ahem"
i looked up.
"iiiisla!"
she giggled, "please get out of my chair, class is starting soon."
"right, sorry."

"kyle, baby, do you know who amber's into right now? and calum?" i asked nonchalantly, adding amber to be inconspicuous.
he thought for a while, "amber? i don't know. calum likes isla, i think."
"oh?"
"yeah. why do you ask?"
"just wondering if they miss each other."

a few days into the relationship, kyle and britta broke up over the phone. i overheard because they were both screaming and kyle was on loud speaker.
"you know what? you never have time for me!"
"only because you always want attention! remember when i took you out? you completely whined about the place being 'dodgy'! i paid for everything and all! you did not say thank you!"
"well you don't appreciate me!"
"i do! or at least i did! isla wouldn't be this way. this is so pointless."
"isla? now you want isla too? fine! be with her!"
"alright, i will."
he put down the phone and britta stormed into my room.

the relationship's over! i could finally use him to make calum jealous.
i went to isla's room in tears.
"what's wrong?" she seemed genuinely concerned. how clueless.
i grit my teeth. "kyle happened."
"it's okay. you'll get over it."
i smiled sweetly. "you're right, i will. thank you so much."
"i'll always be here for you."
