y/n stood between the arms of dream. her back pressed against his chest, her arms down by her sides. his arms were protectively wrapped around her small, trembling body. the knocks on the door grew more powerful, the thuds growing loader with each increase of force raging down against the piece of wood.
rexy opened the door, sending a death glare at daniel. he looked at them with annoyance before turning his gaze to y/n, who was still in the protective grasp of dream. their eyes locked, the e/c orbs of y/n showed fear while the chocolate brown ones of daniel showed rage.
"what are you doing here, daniel? i'm very well aware of the fact you're not welcomed here" rexy stood in the doorway, not allowing him to step a single foot into the house.
"i just wanted to talk." daniel scoffed, rolling his eyes and crossing his arms. he stared rexy up in down, earning a look of disgust from them.
"if you wanted to talk to badly you could have texted, not just pop up whenever you want. it's funny you thought you could just show up without causing problems" rexy hissed.
daniel let out a chuckle and rolled his eyes. his eyes slowly moves across the room to y/n. he plastered a smirk on his face while looking at her but his expression quickly changed when he looked up at dream.
"listen buddy, get your hands off my girlfriend" daniel stated and pointed in the direction of dream and y/n. rexy burst out into laughter while dream tightened his grip around y/n, but not tight enough to hurt her.
y/n turned in dreams arm, burying her face into his chest. he placed his chin upon her head, moving one arm so it was wrapped around her lower back, the other he moved to the middle of her back, rubbing small, reassuring circles.
"she is not your girlfriend, daniel. you need to leave before i call the cops" rexy spoke up when they finished laughing. daniel cleared his throat.
"then have that little slut look me in the eyes and tell me to leave" he smirked.
"absolutely not" dream declared. "she's not going to look at you or say anything to you. you need to leave. now" dream growled under his breath, sending shivers down y/n's spine. she wrapped her arms around his torso and he pulled her closer.
"whatever. i'm done with you losers" with that, daniel turned and walked away, getting into his car and speeding away. rexy turned to dream and y/n.
"well, i'm going to head out. if anything happens call me asap" rexy stated in a demanding but heart-filled tone. dream nodded and gave them a small smile. rexy stepped outside the house, closing the door behind them.
dream and y/n stayed in their embrace for awhile. he kept his head rested upon hers, occasionally humming to her. after a few minutes y/n let out a yawn and dream chuckled, pulling away from their embrace.
"tired?" he smiled down at her. he kept one arm wrapped around her lower back but move the other to caress her cheek. she nodded and closed her eyes.
dream moved his hands to her waist, he carefully hoisted her up, placing one arm under her thighs and the other around her back. she wrapped her legs around his torso and her arms around his neck, resting her head on her shoulder.
he carried her to her room, gently placing her down in her bed and pulling the comforter over her. she instantly snuggled up to the thick, fluffy blanket, a smile plastered on her face. within seconds, sleep devoured her. dream sat in her computer chair and took a picture of her, posting it on twitter.
