Splendids Pov
After the strange sailor gave me the details to where I can find the grocery store, such a hassle. I let out a sigh, moving a piece of hair that started to dangle before my eyes. Huffing lightly, I'm going on a adventure all on my own - I mean i did want to meet the residents, i didn't plan to get lost within the same day. I wasn't intentionally locating people, I just wanted to go to the store.. snacks sound pretty nice now that I think about it. All the walking around and getting myself lost works up quite a appetite! Hey don't judge me!
Wait why am I arguing with myself? I shook my head soon lightly speaking to myself "I wonder what kind of snacks.. chocolate.. or natural?" I hummed tapping my finger lightly against my chin, puzzling over what kind of snack I would get on top of other things. You always need snacks, healthy or not. It's always nice to have something different to eat or something small to hold you over if dinner isn't coming for another six hours. I shiver recalling the time when that did happen, seeing as it was put in late and it was a long cooking dish but the wait was worth it. The food was tender and sweet, brought out all the flavors
Ahh! Why am I day dreaming about food!? I shouldn't be hungry in a time like this, get your mind straight splendid!By the time I reached the grocery store my legs felt numb, like pieces of freshly beaten meat you would prepare for dinner. As I approached the palely decorated building its doors shot open with a ding room signify that a costumer had entered the store. Thankfully I only had one door to walk through compared to some stores yet this wasn't a massive store, no where near the scale of others I've been to yet it makes sense seeing as this wasn't a highly populated town, nor was it very popular. I don't even think they get tourist here unless they were curious of the strange murders going on.
I smiled faintly as a wave of fresh cold air hit me on my way in, it felt nice. Relaxing, cooling me off from my rather confusing adventure. I hummed going and grabbing a small hand cart, one you carry around with you as you shop so you wouldn't have to carry everything yourself. I made my way around hunting for the snack isle, questioning where they kept their snacks. Thankfully it wasn't too difficult to locate the snack isle amongst the sea of toys, food, and a rather odd options you wouldn't fully expect. They seemed to have everywhere though some was rather confusing on why, yet they probably were trying to get more customers. I went through the snack isle looking around the mixture of chips, cookies, and other delicious treats including candy bars. I carefully reached out grabbing a bag of sun chips, and a bag of triangle shaped chips knowing my brother would like them, though I wasn't fully sure if he liked the specific flavor. Those never lasted long so I never really got any, he would just hoard them away somewhere like a strange chipmunk. Once I got all my treats I made my way around gathering certain things we would need that we didn't certainly have at the house from the move including more things for dinner or drinks such as milk. When I was doing this I fairly noticed something moving from the corner of my eye, I turned wondering what catch my eye noticing pale green pair of a man getting himself some drinks from within the many refrigerators filled with them.
But before I could ponder anything they left, without a word spoken with their arms filled with colorful drinks. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, not everyone was keen to talk yet something felt off about them. I just couldn't figure out what, some strange feeling in the pit of my stomach. Something wasn't quite right with them, but I still have no idea what that could be. I shook my head deciding it's best not to worry about it, probably wasn't anything anyways. Just my mind getting to worry over something I shouldn't, I continue my shopping until my hand cart could no longer carry anything more. It became rather heavy, this would make my arms sore on the way home. I made my way through the isles to the cashier who thankfully was empty, seems that man had left long ago seeing him no where in sight.
I carefully paid for my items, before making my way home my arms now covered in white plastic bags carrying my assortment of items from the store. Including my lovely treats, and the food we would need as well as dinner meals incase splendot didn't feel like cooking, or was too busy to cook.
