1 MONTH LATER
It has been a month since I told Louis the truth; since he asked me to be his boyfriend and since we shared our first kiss. I am proud to say that we are still going strong. We have had several special moments in this short period of time, ranging from our first I love you s to our first time. If anything, me and Louis have only grown closer over the past month. I have shifted to his bedroom, and we cuddle and sleep together every night. Just over a week back, he had introduced me to his family. His mom and siblings welcomed me with open arms and treated me like their own. That night, when I lay in Louis' arms, I couldn't help feeling a bit lonely and my mind wandered down the dark path of my past. However, Louis was there to lighten the mood and cheer me up. When I told him that I really wanted to go to see if my family were still in Cheshire, he decided that we could go and have a look the next day.
When we went to Cheshire the next day, I was extremely anxious. I was always on my toes and the slightest noise scared. Louis, however, was there to comfort me the entire time. He calmed me down when I was close to having a panic attack when I saw the spot from which I had been kidnapped. Eventually, we arrived at my old house. The room was lit, and I couldn't help but feel slightly hopeful. All of my hope, however, disappeared when an old lady opened the door. When I asked her about my family's whereabouts, she was clueless. We decided to visit an old friend of mine to check if they knew anything. On the way we passed the house where I had been kidnapped and kept for so long at. I whimpered and a few tears trickled down my cheek. However, when I saw the up for rent sign on the house, I felt slightly safer. When we reached my friend Ed's house, he was the one who opened the door. He looked quite different from when we were kids, but his bright ginger hair was just the same. I guess I had changed a lot too, because he didn't recognize me and asked me who I was. I simply chuckled and said, "Ed mate, I didn't think you'd forget me so soon. It's Harry, the one and only Harry Styles." He looked at me in shock before hugging me tight and saying, "My music buddy. Where'd you go. I missed you mate." "Me too Ed, me too." I responded enjoying my old friend's embrace. When we parted, he invited me and Louis in. After Ed and Louis had been acquainted with each other, I asked him about my family. He told me that they stayed here for six months after I disappeared but by the end it was too painful, so they left. They continued the missing case, in order to find me and asked the police to tell them if you were found but he doubts they searched any further. Gemma and Anne both changed their numbers and shifted away, not telling anyone where they were going. He thinks they wanted to leave behind all the sad memories this place held. I left the place disappointed, but Louis cheered me up when we got home. We built a blanket fort and watched movies while eating pizza.
Going back to the positive side, Louis also has got me a place in university for next year. I will be two years behind my age but as long as I can learn, I'm sure I'll be fine. Until university starts, I have decided to continue working in the bakery and I love feeling independent. I have saved enough money to buy a new apartment for myself, but Louis and I both can't stand the thought of living apart.
Next year will be Louis' last in university and he has decided to pursue the profession of a drama teacher after university. I think it's a great idea considering that he loves drama and is good with kids. In university, I have decided to take music and English because I love writing, both songs and poetry and would love to do something related to my passion.
Currently, I'm on my way to the bakery after which we are having games night with the boys at our place. Speaking of the boys, Liam also knows my entire story and he only has become more protective over me. He has also found himself a wonderful boyfriend to replace Jeremy and the six of us always hang out together.
At the moment, I'm unlocking the café to get prepared for my shift. I set up everything waiting for my co-workers to come. Soon enough, Julie and Andrew (my co-workers) came in. We greeted each other a good morning like usual and helped each other tie on the aprons. We opened the café by 9 and as usual we had a great time, serving people and taking orders. I loved the smile people gave me when I brought them the morning dose of caffeine or a quick breakfast. I loved making jokes to make a customer smile. I believed in spreading happiness and I loved putting smiles on people's faces.
I had just given someone their morning muffin and tea and turned around to take a seat, when the bell dinged indicating that there was a new customer. I sighed under my breath; today had been exhausting with many customers coming and going. I quickly put on a smile and turned around to greet the customer but was shocked when I saw a pair of familiar brown eyes which I had longed to see and blonde hair that I dreamt of seeing again. I froze, my breath caught in my throat. She looked equally shocked to see me. I didn't know how she could still recognize me with my hair cut short and hidden by my beanie, with me having become so tall and lean; still she recognized me. I could see it in her eyes. Finally, she gasped, "Hazza, my baby brother."
"Gems," I whispered in disbelief. I then asked her to wait there for a moment. I went in the back room and quickly removed my apron. Then I quickly asked Julie to take over my shift and she readily agreed as I had filled in her for her only last week. I then hurried back out, worried that Gemma might disappear, if I took a second too long. When I saw her there, a sigh of relief slipped past my lips. I crossed to the other side of the counter and hugged Gemma. It had been so long, and I missed her so much. I couldn't help it when I sobbed into her shoulders. She rubbed my back to calm me down but from the dampness on my shoulder, I could tell she was crying too. I asked Gemma where she and mum lived currently and she told me that they lived in Isleworth, but Gemma was here with her friend. Her friend Katie's dad had passed away and she asked Gemma to accompany her to the funeral. Gemma then asked me where I had been and I said, "Gems, I – can we go to my and my boyfriend's place, then I'll explain. Its rather traumatizing and I love you, but no one comforts me like he does."
"Of course, Haz," she said her voice filled with sympathy before it took a mischievous tone and she said, "Boyfriend, ay, you never told me about him. I knew you liked guys but who's your boyfriend. Is he hot?"
I smiled as I remembered the way Gem and I used to discuss boys when we were younger. I rolled my eyes and said, "Super-hot...but .... He's mine!" We both burst out laughing.
"Anyways, I wouldn't steal your boyfriend, I've got my own fiancé." I turned to face her and said, "Fiancé?" She hummed in response and waved her ring finger at me. I grinned and demanded her to tell me the entire story of how they met and proposed. So, we walked back home the journey filled with laughter and inside jokes that neither of us had forgotten over the years. I was so happy that Gemma was here that I forgot to call Louis. Once we were home, we removed our shoes and coats, but I left the beanie on. Then, I called Louis and asked him to come over. While the phone was ringing, Gemma had to be her cheeky self and make a joke, "What's contact saved as? Darling bf?" I giggled at her ridiculous idea. However, what she didn't know was that the contact's name was far cheesier. It read 'cuddly Lou bear'.
SOOO....Harry meets Gemma at last and the story goes on!
