Gura's P.O.V.

"Gura. I'm gonna head back now."

"Wait. The situation just escalated, Ina. You're gonna head back now to sleep?"

"No. Not even I could pretend to ignore this. I'm going back to mom and talk this out in person."

"So, wait. What am I supposed to do?"

"Try to stop them, I guess? I'll try to solve the problem on my side. Do something. Avoid getting hurt, though."

"Oh god. We were just starting to get close too. After this, we need to do more sisterly things. We'll call Watson, so we go back to the other world when you get back."

"What if I don't come back?

"Pinky promise me you'll come back."

"Ehhh?"

"Pinky Promise me."

"Alright, Gura. Pinky promise."

Ina with her dark jokes. Scary much?

It was recently since Ina and I became siblings.

Six thousand years ago, I was very young. Still, a young shark observing the world through my parent's eyes. Mostly mommy's. Both of them were my everything. They knew how to support and raise me well enough to be competent in the world. Back then, their big, bazillion teeth smile filled with joy whenever they saw me doing something good, even bigger smiles when I've done something evil. Rage and anger were our next-door neighbours. Whenever I knock on their doors, there are the ones cowering in fear. It filled me with so much happiness. If they're in pain, the more praise I get. Snickering my way back home, the fin head pats I got came in bountiful numbers, grazing my head. Happiness in the millions happened in those times.

Now, those times are gone.

When swimming through our long lives through the sea, my father had some urgent business to do with his friends. Something about taking back one part of the ocean. It was something I overheard when I was sneaking around them, avoiding getting noticed. My father and friends said their goodbyes, leaving us to fend for ourselves on the rest of our travels. So, our journey to the destination continued.

My mommy noticed going with her keen senses. I was still practising my technique, even then with some amount of technique, I still noticed something overwhelming. Almost at our destination, a disturbing amount of aura hit us in our faces. The shock my mommy had on her face wasn't very laughable, but the horror was petrifying. She is the scariest creature in the sea. Basically, our whole family was. But this, something to shock my mommy to such a degree, must be a worthy opponent. Naive me shouted words of encouragement.

"Don't worry mommy. You can bet them, no prob."

She looked down at me with a fake smile on her face. We rubbed our bodies together to calm ourselves down. I wasn't scared, because my mommy is with me. Everything was going to be fine.

It wasn't.

After my mother told me to flee, I went to hide somewhere nearby instead. The aura that was coming, came even closer and closer. Even if I was this far away, it still didn't bother me in the slightest. My mother is one of the strongest in the world, nothing can beat her. That's where I was wrong.
