Chapter 23

Lexi's P.O.V

Being in a hospital sucks.

I've been here for weeks now because Harry hit me really hard.

I met someone.

No. Not romantically.

Her name is Elisa.

She's also been in the hospital.

She has cancer. I remember crying when she told me.

She has a brother named Carter and he has a girlfriend named Joan.

"My brother is coming to visit."

I was with Elisa in her room and we were eating chocolate pudding.

"That's great! I will finally get to meet him."

The door opened and in came Kenzi.

"Kenzi! Elisa this is my friend Kenzi. Kenzi this is my new friend Elisa."

They both greeted each other.

We kept talking and talking for hours and hours.

There was a knock on the door.

In came a guy who looked similarly to Elisa and a girl who looled nothing like them.

"Hey Eli. Are these your friends?"

She nodded. "Carter this is Kenzi and Lexi. Guys. This is my brother and his girlfriend Joan."

He looked at me.

"Do you by any chance know who Alexia Grace is?"

My blood went cold and my body froze. I nodded.

"Carter, are you gunna ever let that go?" He shook his head.

"She's the reason Blake is gone."

"ITS NOT MY FAULT THAT HE KIDNAPPED MY FRIENDS AND THEN GOT SOMEONE TO KIDNAP ME."

His gaze was filled with anger.

"YOU!" He pointed at me.

"Carter baby. Calm down."

"NO! SHE'S THE REASON THAT MY COUSIN IS LOCKED AWAY IN JAIL."

"Wait. Blake is your cousin?" Kenzi looked shocked.

"Yeah. But I never liked him. He was always a bad kid and he never played with me. Only with Carter." A knock made Elisa stop talking.

"You have a visitor."

The doctor left and then someone i least expected was there.

"Blake. W-what are you doing here?"

"I wanted to visit Elisa. She is my cousin after all." He shrugged.

"But you never wanted to visit me before. So why now?" Elisa looked kinda mad.

"Because I've realized that I am a bad person. I kidnapped them." He pointed at us. "And their friends. And I've been a bad cousin and not visiting my cousin. I don't wanna live this life anymore. I wanna change. So I'm starting with you. Can we be best friends Eli?" Elisa had tears in her eyes.

"I've been waiting all my life for this moment." And they both shared a hug.

Blake turned to us.

"Kenzi. Lexi. I've been a terrible person for the things that I did to you and the boys. Can we start over?"

I looked at Kenzi.

Kenzi looked at me.

She pulled me away from them. "Are you gunna forgive him?" 

I shrugged. "Maybe. He could lead us to Ryan."

"But what if he's faking?"

That's when I got an idea.

I walked back to Blake. "We don't believe you. So we have a proposition for you. You tell us where Ryan is and then we can start over? Deal?" I stuck out my hand.

He shook it. "Deal."

Louis: he's faking and he better not hurt Lexi again.
Harry: I agree with Lexi. He should help us find Ryan then we'll believe him.
Liam: Sophia is so pretty...
Zayn: Kenzi. Let's play hide and seek under the blanket.
Me: Zayn! That language is not appropriate. I have young readers.
Zayn: So?
Me: *facepalms*
Harry: when will I get a girlfriend?
Niall: yeah. Me too.
Me: be patient young grasshopper.
Harry/Niall: No!
Me: then no girlfriend for you.
Harry/Niall: just kidding! We love you.
Me: sureeeeeeeee.....
