Kenzi's P.O.V

Liam took a hit for me.

He allowed himself to get hurt for my sake. That is something I can't ever repay him for.

Liam groaned as he awoke from his unconsciousness.

"Liam," my voice was hoarse. "why did you do that?"

"Because I couldn't let you get hurt. You're my friend Kenz. No, a sister. You're like family to me Kenz. And as family, I'd be willing to take a bullet for you."

The door slighty opened and in came...………Sophia?

She gasped and she ran to Liam's side.

"Liam. I am so sorry."

"Sophia, why are you here?"

"Because......I......." she looked down at her hands.

"Because you work for Blake." I managed to say.

"Sophia, is this.......is this true?"

"Yes.....but I've changed. I don't wanna work for him anymore. After you got hit instead of Kenzi, I realized that this isn't what I want."

"How do you know he got hit?" I hate my voice right now.

"There's a camera that shows-" she stopped talking.

The door slammed shut, leaving Sophia in here with is.

"Don't worry. I'll protect you." Liam held Sophia to his side.

Sophia handed me......her phone?

"Call him."

I dialed his number and after 3 rings he picked up.
"Hello? Who's this?"

I cleared my throat. "Zayn? It's Kenzi."
"Kenzi? What's wrong? Where are you?"

"I don't know Zayn. All I know is that Liam is hurt."
"Liam's there?" 

"Yeah. They hurt me too Zayn. I'm scared Zayn. I'm scared."
"Don't worry Kenzi. I'll find you. Nobody will ever hurt you."

"You promise you'll find me?'

He didn't say anything. He isn't coming.
"I, Zayn Javaad Malik, Promise to you, Mkenzi Amonett, that I will protect you. I will find you and I will save you. No matter what."
Awwwwwwwwe Zayn.
"Kenzi, stay on the line okay? Don't hang up."

"Okay."

I huddled with Liam and Sophia while trying to hide the phone.
"Kenzi, we found your location. We're coming for you."

"Really?"
"Yes. I'm coming for you Kenzi."

"Don't forget about me Zayn." I looked up to find Perrie. She smiled evily.
"PERRIE! DID THEY HURT YOU?!? ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!?"

"I'm fine. Mkenzi got beat up for me instead."
"I'm almost there don't worry."

The line went dead.

"You're evil."

"No, I'm just smart."

Suddenly, the door flew open. I was scared because I thought Blake had come back but it wasn't.
It was Zayn.

My eyes locked with his hazel ones.

"Kenz. Are you okay?" he gently caressed my cheek.

"No." my voice was hoarse and I still felt pain.

"Let's get you home."

He carried me bridal style out the door.

"Excuse me. We need to see you." the officer pointed to Perrie.

"What? Why?" Zayn asked.

"She was helping him. There is a security camera and she was with some other girls."

The officer looked behind Zayn and he pointed and said "You. Come here too."

I heard footsteps and that's when Sophia was in my sights.

"Sophia." I tried to say but my voice was still hoarse. The rest of us went home and we waited.

Zayn was cleaning my cuts and Liam was cleaning his own.

"Kenzi, how did this happen?"

"I was going to go home with Uncle Si and I thought it was him but it wasn't and so I got taken and Liam came after me."

"Why were you leaving?" I avoided his gaze.

"Kenzi, please. Why did you wanna leave? Did you not feel safe?"

"I felt safe. I just.....I didn't feel happy." I looked at his eyes and they.....well, I couldn't describe it.

The door opened and in came Sophia.

I smiled as she noticed me and she smiled back.

"Hey Kenz, how are you feeling?" she asked softly.

"Honestly, I've been better." I chuckled a bit.
So Perrie went to jail.
I might finally have a chance with Zayn.

I looked to Zayn and smiled.

The door opened again and this time I didn't smile to the person who walked in.
Perrie.
