Chapter fourteen -

Three long days had passed and Karma was now laying on the overly hard doctor's bed with her legs up. She found it completely uncomfortable to have a nurse with her hand between her legs using what they called a wound to see inside her.

"Are you okay?" Bray asked, reaching over and patting Karma's hand.

"Yeah." Karma said her eyes glued to the static of the screen beside her.

After a urine test and blood test both coming back inconclusive she was forced to have an ultrasound down just to be sure.

"There it is, you see this? The nurse asked, pointing to a small black dot on the screen. Karma felt her heart stop.

"You seem to be ten weeks." The nurse said with a big smile on her face.

"Holy shit." Bray whispered.

"Ten weeks?" Karma asked. She had thought she was that far along.

The nurse just smiled and nodded her head.Karma felt the need to smack the smile off her face, could she not see how scared she was right now?

After that the nurse helped clean Karma before letting her put her pants back on and printing her a picture of the small black dot.

She left informing her the doctor would be in shortly.

"I can not believe you're pregnant, well I can but ten weeks?" Bray mumbled looking at the picture.

Karma gleaned at the heavily pregnant woman beside her. " How the hell can I be this fucking far along and just now having symtom's?"

"Not all women have symptoms but a missed period Karma, and you even told the nurse you haven't been late except for this month." Bray shrugged.

She was excited for Karma, she knew she would make an amazing mother, but she could also see how scared Karma was.

"Bray this means I got pregnant right before the break in, which means I conserved this child on my birthday in Atlanta." Karma went back thinking over the math.

It had been the first time her and Blue had been intimate since getting back together. And they haven't used protection at all. She hadn't thought twice about it because two days later she had her period.

It had been two long weeks since she sat in the doctor's office and found out she was going to be a mother.

It had been two long miserable weeks.

Karma pulled herself from the bathroom floor and walked to the shower, turning it on.

She still hadn't told Blue, and she was honestly scared of what he would say. Was he ready for this? Was she ready for this?

She knew this weekend she would have to tell him. They had planned a trip to a cabin and it was just going to be the two of them.

Signing Karma grabbed her bag and headed to work.

As her day drug on she received text after text from Blue asking her how she was, if she needed anything.

She loved that he loved to take care of her, but she just wanted to not think about it for a moment.

He had been so worried and had constantly asked her if she would go see a doctor already. She wasn't about to tell him over a text that she had and she knew exactly why she was vomiting half the day.

She was still trying to process the thought of even being pregnant.

When the day finally came to an end Blue was waiting out front for her.

"Hi beautiful." Blue smiled as he leaned down to kiss her.

She kissed him back feeling all the love he had for her in the kiss.

"Hi baby." She smiled up at him.

"Ready to go, because I can't wait to get you out of these clothes." Blue said while looking her up and down.

"You're unstatable." Karma commented but laughed.

It took almost an hour to get to the cabin and Karma was in love with the smell of the clear air and trees surrounding them.

Once their bags were in the cabin they changed and went for a walk to the small lake near their home for the weekend.

"We should come up here more often." Karma spoke as they headed back.

"Whose car is that?" Karma asked as she finally noticed the sleek black car parked near Blues.

"Go back to the lake, I'll meet you there in ten minutes." Blue said, pushing her behind him.

"Blue what's going on, who is that?" Karma asked more sternly.

"Karma baby I really need you to listen to me, I'll explain everything later, just go back to the lake till I come and get you okay." Karma could see the fear in his eyes. She knew Blue and he was scared.

It was an unfamiliar look for him. He was never scared.

"Okay, but if you dont come get me in ten minutes I'm coming to you." Karma said before kissing him and walking back to the lake.

Karma counted down and right as she got to eight minutes Blue came into view.

"Oh my god." Karma rushed to him, throwing her arms around his neck before pulling his lips to hers.

"I was so scared you wouldnt come back." She rushed out checking him over to make sure he wasn't hurt.

"We need to talk baby." Blue said, pulling her to the cabin.

"What the fuck do you mean by you work with shady people?" Karma raised her voice.

Blue had just told her he worked with a known shady organization and they thought he stole something from them.

"That's exactly what it means Karma. I didn't get to just take over my fathers company I had to work my ass off doing whatever it took to get it to where it is today." Blue raised his voice too.

He didn't have a good start to life. His mother being a druggie and father nowhere to be found he lived most of his life with his grandfather until he died. He knew he wanted something more in life and was good at creating things. So he worked hard and finally decided to build a security empire, which he had.

He had wanted to keep this out of their relationship. But he knew they had ransacked Karmas home looking for what they believed he had taken.

"What else Blue. That doesn't explain why they destroyed my house." Karma yelled putting extra phrases on the word my.

"They think I stole some book that has a lot of valuable information in it." Blue explained.

"Why do they think you took it?" Karma asked.

Blue looked at her. " Because I was there when it was taken. I know better than to steal from these people, but they are trying to scare me into telling them who did take it, which I dont know who did."

"Did they beat you up?" Karma asked, her eyes going wide as she remembered back to when Blue came home all bruised and bloody.

"It was a warning." Blue sighed.

Her heart was racing, what if they killed Blue, what if they killed both of them and their unborn child?

"Blue look at me." Karma said getting on her knees in front of him so they could be eye level.

"I'm pregnant."
