Nobody likes traitors. And that's because no one likes the feeling of being betrayed. That must be one of the worst feelings ever.
Okay, maybe not the worst. But, definitely top ten? Not sure. But it's definitely painful. And even though no one likes to be betrayed, sometimes, one can't help to be a traitor. Betrayal is just like sin, so irresistible (in some cases). Cases where someone can't help to be a traitor. And that, well, that's just when the fun begins.-
Derek was a traitor. That was clear. He not only betrayed Meredith, but Addison as well. He went behind both of their backs and lied. And that hurt, a lot. Both Meredith and Addison were hurt by his actions. Heartbroken. But Meredith and Addison were over that. Addison was back with him, trying to fix their marriage.
What was there to fix? Everything.
But they were still trying. Meredith was okay with that. She had to be okay with that. She was not with Derek anymore, and she was now Addison's friend. She even gave the couple her dog as peace treaty.
Well, not really as a peace treaty, more like a "help me I can't deal with this dog myself" kind of thing.
Whatever it was, it helped the three of them.Doc really helped bringing the trio together. Or At least it helped Addison and Meredith get along better. Who could say no to a cute little dog like doc? No one.
And that was the point.
"He's beautiful." Addison says as she kneels down to pet doc, giving him a big smile while doing so. "We brought his toys." Izzy cuts in as she gives Derek doc's toys. "Oh, here's his food and his water dish." O'Malley adds while also handing him doc's dishes.
"Oh, okay. Hi." Says Derek to Doc while petting him.
"Here." Meredith gives him the leash.
Derek stands up from his prior kneeling position and takes the leash.
"Thanks for doing this. Uh, I know it's a lot to ask." Meredith thanks both of them. But really, it felt more of a thank you to just Addison. Their consistent eye contact was the key to ending up with such resolution."Oh, it's all right." Addison says quietly while petting doc. "It's just a dog. Right doc?" she makes a high pitched baby type voice when she refers to doc.
"C'mon doc, lets get you inside." Derek said before walking away with doc heading to the trailer. Before he was truly gone, he looked back and thought if it was a good idea to leave the two women alone. Would they try to kill each other? For him? For sure. Or at least he liked to think that to feed his ego.
He ended up going inside the camper with Doc. Deciding that Addison and Meredith would not cause such a scene right about now.
What a fool.
Those two women would not fight for him. Not ever. They were better than that.
They stared at each other instead. It was not an awkward stare, but more of a appreciative stare. Something that only Meredith and Addison shared. They said so much, without saying anything. Just a look.
Magical.
That's how they both felt. Even if they tried to deny it.
Denial, denial, denial.
Both Izzie and O'malley noticed the tension between the two, so they decided it was best to leave them alone so they could talk? Yell at each other? Stare at each other? Who
knew. But they definitely did not want to be near them. It was...awkward."Uh...We'll just wait- wait in the car" Izzy signaled to the car before taking one last look between the two women. She then returned to the car with O'malley following behind.
"Okay." Meredith quietly whispered to Izzy. She turned slightly to the left following her friends with her eyes. Once she saw both of her intern friends inside her car, she then turned her attention back to Addison.
"So, he, uh...chews everything. So don't leave anything out." Meredith warns with a slight shake of her head. "He hates cats, and small, little yappy dogs" Meredith adds.
"Oh...not housebroken." Meredith quickly looks in the direction of the trailer.
"Oh." Addison laughs, following Meredith's look to the trailer as well.
"I probably should've told you that." Meredith chuckles. She brings her eyes back to Addison's figure for a split second before lowering her haze.
"Yeah."Addison sarcastically says while putting a loose hair string behind her left ear.
