Hello my beautiful readers! I'm back from the dead lol
I sincerely apologize for going MIA for such a long time. To be frank with you, life threw some punches at me that took some time to heal. But I'm better now, and I'm ready to continue with this wonderful story. First of all, I want to thank all of you for your kind comments and votes. You guys inspired me to get my thoughts together and put them into writing. I gotta admit, this chapter was completed for awhile now. But I just didn't feel like it was good enough to publish. So I revised it a million times, until I was content with it. However, it still might not be perfect. But I tried my best. Again, thank you so much for not giving up on me. I never once forgot about you guys <3

Anyway, I'll stop rambling and let y'all enjoy reading this chapter.

FYI: Just to clarify, this chapter is set based on the beginning of season 3 of grey's!!

Happy reading :)

The night was crisp, dark, and cold. Goosebumps made themselves seen on the young intern's skin as she walked out of the hospital. Her mind wandered back to green orbs and stunning red hair. Her body, felt meaningless, light as a feather-if the wind blew any harder, she'd be floating into the abyss without leaving a trace of her behind. Her feelings were a mixture of colors on a plain canvas; a chaos of emotions that painted her aching soul. She should feel misery due to the unfortunate death of Denny Duquette, but that shade was not strong enough to make itself present. Her mind kept trying to keep her on track with the situation and give Izzie as much comfort as she possibly could, but she couldn't. Her thoughts only followed Addison Montgomery's path.

"Stop thinking about her." She kept telling herself. The intern wanted nothing more than to feel misery like everyone else. But no sign of it ever appeared. Addison had left her in pure awe. Seeing the older woman be so vulnerable in her arms, only made her wish to go back to the moment where her warmth, met hers- creating a flame so intense, that not even the greatest of rains could wipe out.

"What are you thinking so hard about?" Cristina suddenly brought Meredith back to her cruel reality.
Suddenly, Meredith no longer roamed the hospital's hallways, she now found herself trapped inside her car with her friends. She had no memory of getting into the car, let alone arriving home. Had she been distracted enough to not pay attention to her surroundings? Sure seemed like it.

Silence ruled the environment, Meredith's thoughts could almost be heard around the car.
"What? Oh. Nothing. I'm just tired." Meredith tried to brush off Cristina's comment to the best of her ability.

This was going to be one hell of a night.

Hours seemed to turn into years, as Addison waited for the night to pass by while laying down in one of the hospital's famous on-call rooms. She had tried to sleep, but after tossing and turning several times, she gave up. She considered taking a sleeping pill, but the aftermath of the effects would've affected her productivity while operating, and that would not do. So now, she just rested-laying on her back while staring up at the ceiling. She cursed her mind for not being able to relax and dive into the peaceful rest she so desperately needed. Instead, her mind seemed rather preoccupied playing the image of Meredith Grey over and over. This had been the reason why Addison chose to spend the night at the hospital, instead of with Derek in his stupid trailer. How would she be able to sleep next to his husband while thinking of his ex-girlfriend? She couldn't. She had a slight bit of morals left after all. Even after many failed tries to think of work, surgery, her favorite medicine magazine, Meredith's frame persisted in coming into vision. Addison could still feel the blonde's silky skin against her. Her ears rang with the memory of her pretty little moans of pleasure. Her thoughts called for the young intern's name, just how she had done last night. Addison wondered if her presence ever appeared in Meredith's mind. She selfishly wished it has.
