After my heart shattered, my character was somehow trapped in this book. I did survive that fire though. After the fire was put out, some people claimed they saw a figure, me, fly from the top of the building. I did, anyone walking the woods nearby can see the type of me that is still there. That type of me is one that reflects what people are like when they are past the gone.
In the words of The Maze Runner that version of me is worse than a crank and although that version of me isn't bloodthirsty there just isn't anything left for me there anymore. Anyone in the woods of the park sometimes see a hooded figure with wings, and if they get close enough they can see a pale face with a scar running over the lips. Sometimes his hands burn a little, sometimes he scratches at a tree with writing on it. He won't let anyone near that tree. Anyone who is truly lucky can see the markings on his bow. They can see six wolves with names underneath and three people burned into the bow.
Here, I'm by myself other than the other characters (yes that does include the characters from all the books ever), all of them telling their story before they died, or before they lost it. If you're still reading I'm glad because you are prolonging my life. That's the problem you see, the 'gone' version of me is a ghost in a sense. Every time someone reads my story, I live a little. Every time you stop reading me, the 'gone' version of me ceases to exist again. When you finish reading the whole of the story, that's when I die, I'm gone. I burn up with the feeling of loneliness. You can tell right now that I'm about to stop, and there's nothing you can do, but as soon as you put this book down or stop reading me on some sort of device I WILL DIE.
So there you have it, my story, and my life. How I'm a seventh wheel because I kept the group together but how I ceased to exist without them. You have it all now, and right now I'm dying and when you read the last word I'll be DEAD.
