9- why me?

"Well in short, the prosecution submitted evidence of this corporation linked with the mafia."

I mean I want to laugh out so loud that I will call it LOSL.

Basically there is no mafia or anything. The audit office found some statistics not matching with the tax as well as statements made. Now the famous case which happened 3 years ago has ramped up and the whole press is outside. We are basically ready to see the final report and according to that work up. Nothing that exciting as they made it to be.

I left the office at 7 pm and the whole ground was filled up with press and reporters. They were waiting for Adrien Davis and not me so I just tried to walk past the security when everyone ran towards me. I was profoundly shocked when Someone grabbed both of my upper arms and gently put me aside. I look back to find Adrien who said nothing but gently smiled. Behind him standing in his suit looking like a knight in the shining Armor is Shadow. I mean no wonder I see getting married to him in my dreams. I find him more attractive than I normally would.

I stood beside Shadow while Adrien was in front of us.

All the camera was pointing toward us and the screaming of reporters all around. All my bitchy ass thought was not the corporation but that I look shit. And now my face is on National television. My friends, parents , and teachers will be watching and laughing at my face. I tried to go back but there were all guards surrounding us three. Shadow pulled my waist making me go near him and sternly looking at my eyes stating Don't move.

I am trapped! Looking like an egyptian mummified body.

"One at a time!" A harsh snap brought me to the world of corporations and the press.

"So they said they found evidence of transfer of illegal weapons and funding the terrorist organization" A female reporter hissed at him. If there wasn't security I feel like she would come and claw him with her big manicured nails. I should stop watching horror movies.

"Is it true! Is it true?" Everyone started screaming. I would have cursed them if I was him. I saw Ian staring at me. I smiled and almost was going to wave at him but Adrien started speaking.

"All they did was send a report that the tax and income have a slight indifference. An international corporation having a logistic error sounds like a funding to a terrorist organization then you all need to evaluate your degree." He finished.

"Burn ! " I grinned at his response. It was by means not loud but he turned back at me and so is Shadow. My grin stopped midway and I closed my mouth.

He turned back to the press and announced"Please wait for our official briefing session"

And so all the guards started moving and I had to move along with them until a car came and he and shadow got on. I turned around but a voice said

"Get in" He ordered

"I have my own car" I proudly said in vain looking at that expensive piece of metal.

"They will sleeth you. They saw you with me" He looked directly in my eyes like if he change will just rip out from my heart. He entered his car and I was still processing what the fuck was going on.

"Go on, It's okay" Shadow said, waiting for me to enter. Looking at him at least I know someone in this foreign piece of metal.

I got on reluctantly more because I saw the press coming this way and I don't wanna be the sacrificing goat. It's a big black Aston Martin Victor.

Shadow sat in front with the driver and I was there at back with the fucking CEO of ASR corporation. Wow! I have so much to say to Naomi today!

No one spoke the whole way and I am glad for that. I looked at the rear view mirror and saw Shadow looking at me. I looked at him back remembering the part where I told him to bring pizza. It feels like it happened ages ago when It just happened a few hours ago.
