12- Except him

I was working on the report of the project and was typing the format of the contract. Corporate Jobs is what I am doing at this point. Once I acquire my bar license I am going to apply for prosecution. The real purpose of working with criminals and the victim was why I pursued law.

The event in the morning of me and Ereb having breakfast ended with me thanking him profusely and grabbing an extra pair of keys from the manager. I didn't see him when I left for work. The event of the company being on the news subsided in a day and it felt like a forbidden topic to talk about it. Amita came and gave me the file to be submitted in today's conference. We have an emergency meeting regarding international relations.

I prepared for the report and was getting ready upstairs to go. My team already left for lunch and will directly join us from there. I on the other hand was still too full from breakfast, so I remained to complete the report. I printed it, put it in a file and pressed the elevator.

I was on my phone when the elevator chimed open and I entered. I went to press the 67th button but it was already done. I faced the door. It closed and I looked at who was back at me. It was Adrien.

I turned back and gave a small smile "Good Morning Mr. Davis"

He didn't say anything, just stared at me. I turned back and unlocked my phone and started scrolling. It was awkward.

"So being feisty is in your nature or did you try impressing me that day?" I was startled by his sudden comment.

"Sorry? What the fuck" ohh nice I cursed in front of my boss. But I was surprised. I was genuinely confused too. That day. Ohh the day he dropped me to the side of the road.

"Mm so feisty it is" he points out. His eyes are still gawking at mine. Now your girl got really infuriated.

"You mean not giving my consent on dropping me home and I guess you are already impressed by my work if you took me in for such a big project" I angrily seethed, totally frustrated and pissed.

"Woah. Just say you tried to impress me by being hostile " This dude is in his own fantasy world if he thinks all girls care is to impress him.

"Aggressive much! You need therapy if you think everyone falls before your legs" came out wrong but I confronted him.

He came so close to me with an angry expression that I thought his fangs would come out and he would bite me. I looked at his blue eyes piercing mine. Staring competition it is. I ain't losing a baby boy.

"Maybe we should go together '' He countered .Ugh!

And at that moment I sneezed. At his FACE ! I tried to cover my mouth and apologies when the elevator opened and there stood in front of the gate was Ereb.

He looked at us confused but then I saw a glance of anger. I went out of the elevator to the conference room. Is today a happy anger day or something?

I watched from the big glass door as Both Ereb and Adrien went inside the CEO's office. It looked like both of them were doing a ramp walk and I am the audience gasping at the beauty. I shook my head at the unfairness of the universe and set up the projector, put files on the place and sat at the very end of the table thinking I can have a little nap until everyone comes. I can feel I am getting cold as My nose starts irritating.

I started sneezing continuously and regretted getting into the rain yesterday. Well people started coming and there goes my nap in the drain. The conference started and Ereb was nowhere to be seen. I don't think he is a P.A of the CEO . Like I never saw him doing all the P.A work you do when you are P.A. There are at least 2 people who always do the work that Ereb was supposed to do. Then What does Ereb do is the Question?
