Chapter 13

Today's homecoming!

Earlier today, Caitlyn, Olivia, Maddie, and I went to get our hair and nails done, then we went back to my house and finished getting ready, and lastly, we went to a park and met up with our group and took some pictures.

Oh, I should probably mention that Jesse and Ali broke up. He broke up with her the day after I broke up with Christian. I don't know all the details, but I'm not complaining.

We just arrived at school for the dance.

At first, no one's really dancing and everyone's standing in little groups talking.

The DJ plays a dance song, and that gets the majority of people out on the dance floor, including me, dancing.

Most of the night, Caitlyn, Olivia, and I just dance and have fun. During the slow songs, we take a little break and go get something to drink since none of us have dates.

"Guess who keeps looking over at you?" Caitlyn yells over the music.

I glance over to where Jesse and his friends are and we make eye contact for a second, then we both look away.

"He texted me before I left to go to take pictures that he was going to ask you to dance with him tonight." Olivia yells.

"Well, he hasn't yet, and he's going to be the one to ask me if he really wants it."

We continue dancing and the song changes into another one.

I look back over at Jesse to see Ali over by him. She's trying to dance with him, but he's backing away and shaking his head no. He looks a little mad.

Is it bad that I smiled when I saw that?

"Let's slow it down a little." The DJ says as the song changes.

"With Love" by Christina Grimmie starts to play.

"Wanna go get something to drink?" I ask the girls.

Caitlyn looks behind me and smiles.

"Yeah, let's go get something to drink Olivia." she says as her and Olivia walk away.

I look at them confused, then turn around and see Jesse standing there.

"Wanna dance?" He asks me smiling a little and holding out his hand.

I smile.

"I'd love to." I reply taking his hand.

We walk by the group of people dancing.

Jesse places his hands at my waist, and I wrap my arms around his neck.

We look into each other's eyes and we both smile.

I quietly start to sing along to the song.

When I'm ready to fall

I move a little closer to Jesse.

He looks down at my lips, then back at my eyes. He moves a little closer to me.

Our lips are centimeters apart, about to touch.

"Oh my gosh!" Ali yells.

Well there goes that. We back away from each other, but Jesse keeps his arm around my waist.

"What?" Jesse asks annoyed.

"You broke up with me for her?"

"No, I broke up with you because you cheated on me multiple times and I didn't want to put up with it anymore."

At this point, the song was over and everyone went back to dancing how they were.

"Go have fun with your friends. Get my number from Olivia and text me later." Jesse whispers in my ear.

"Okay. Good luck." I say.

He lets go of my side and I turn around to see Olivia and Caitlyn standing there smiling.

"What?" I ask them smiling.

"What almost just happened between you two?!" Caitlyn yells.

"I'll tell you guys later. Come on, let's go have fun."

We push our way into the huge group of people and dance the rest of the time.

Little story to tell you guys.

On Friday I went to the mall with my friend and we found Rydel's Girls Life magazine and we bought it. We took a pic holding them up and I posted it on Instagram and tagged Rydel and Stormie. RYDEL LIKED MY PIC!!! I was screaming and freaking out really bad.lol

Idk, I felt like I needed to share that with you.
