Part 1

Y/n's POV
As you probably know borrowers have to hide from humans. And life sucks for a borrower. Tiny cramped spaces as your home, the constant anxiety of being caught, the fight for survival. I could go on all day about how shitty a borrower's life is. But anyways I should probably introduce myself. My name's Y/n L/n and as you probably guessed I'm a borrower. I live in a house with four humans which probably isn't the best idea but hey they have nice food. Besides I've been here for years so I'm probably not going to get caught. Probably. My luck with staying hidden could go totally backwards and I could get caught. I can't afford that. I was always told by my parents that humans are dangerous. They could do anything to you. Kill you. Torture you. Capture you. Send you away to be experimented on. The possibilities are endless. Humans are too unpredictable especially children. Children are way more cruel than the older humans. Back when I was living with my parents out neighboring borrowers were brutally slaughtered by the toddler of the house. So that's why, when I moved out I purposely tried to avoid houses with little kids in them. And the only reason I decided to settle into this flat is because it looked comfortable. And when I actually got a proper look around there were a lot of hiding places. And, sure, I miss my parents but this house is way better than the house I used to live in with my parents. And yes sometimes I do wish I was a human. The humans I share a house with always look so happy and free. I always wish I could join them but I can't. Because I'm a borrower and I always will be. And that's just the sad truth.
