Louis' POV
Fuck! I'm so fucking nervous. I tap the steering wheel to the tune of an Arctic Monkeys' song waiting for my best mate Niall to hurry his arse up. It's only 7 in the morning but we're already up and on our way to the pitch. It's the first practice of the season and Niall usually helps me set up things since I'm the captain and that's a thing I have to do. We don't have a coach either since we're a club team so I have to do a lot of shit when I'm normally the one who just pretends to be busy the whole time.

I roll down my window, "Oi Niall!" I yell for him.

I watch as Niall opens the front door and waves his hand at me, "Hi mate!" Niall greets excitedly once he reaches the car.

"Hi Ni, took you forever," I playfully roll my eyes as he gets into the passenger seat.

"You can't rush perfection," Niall beams.

I snort, "But I can rush you."

"Oi that one hurt Lou," he places his hands over his heart. I only laugh and focus on backing out of his driveway. "Only you would think I'm not perfect," Niall fake sulks.

"Aww Niall that's not true. You're perfect in your own special Irish way," I glance at him and send him a little grin.

I see him smile widely before I look back to the road, "Well it's hard to be perfect for you since you already have your eyes set on someone," Niall nudges me wiggling his eyebrows to which I let out a small groan, "How's Curly anyways?"

Curly happens to be the boy I've had a massive crush on for years. I mean he's literally the most beautiful boy I've ever seen. He has dark curly hair, gorgeous green eyes, the sharpest jawline imaginable, the cutest nose and really full lips. I think he's tall too but I'm not sure since I've never had the pleasure of being that close to him. Not all of us are that blessed. His name's not actually Curly either but I don't know his real name and it's kind of a cute nickname.

I've told Niall about him but I've never pointed him out to Niall or anyone else over all these years. The reason for that is because Curly just happens to be the captain of Holmes Chapel School's football team. And they just happen to be our team's rivals. I know it's bad to like our rival's captain but he's so fucking beautiful. Plus there's no harm in finding him cute, I mean at least I've never acted on it.

"I don't know Neil," I purposely say his name wrong and laugh when he cringes at it, "I haven't seen him in a good bit."

Niall sighs and props his feet, "Hopefully you see him soon and finally do something about this little," he pauses, "actually big, crush of yours. Like I don't know, ask him out," Niall suggests like it's so simple.

"I haven't even talked to him before. I might not even like him if I do," I respond back, trying to make up excuses.

"At least you'll know then and you can stop pining over him. It's a step in the right direction and hey, maybe you'll like him even more and then you can ask him out," Niall beams.

"He might not even like guys," I shake my head coming up with more excuses.

"At least talk to him," Niall turns to look at me, "Please, for me," he begs with puppy dog eyes.

I literally can't resist that look, "Ill try," I sigh.

Maybe I'm lying to Niall, maybe I'm not. I mean I would love to talk to Curly but then I might actually start to like him like way more than just the little schoolgirl crush I have on him now. And that really wouldn't be good.

My team literally wouldn't talk to me for weeks because I said "Holmes Chapel isn't that bad at football" so imagine if I told them that I have a big fat crush on their captain. They'd probably kick me off the team and I'm the fucking captain of the team. It's best for me to just wait it out until I don't have a crush on him anymore, which is what I've been doing for years and it hasn't gone anywhere, but that's besides the point.

I really shouldn't talk to Curly, I know this for sure, but fuck it I might just do it anyways. There's not much harm in engaging in a little friendly conversation, plus it would mean I didn't lie to Niall. And who would ever want to lie to Niall?

Niall jumps in his seat out of excitement, "Hell yes!"

I laugh and hold out my arm to settle him down, "This doesn't mean you're playing wingman."

Niall gasps and looks at me with the most offended expression, "What? But I'm a great wingman!"

"I've seen what you've done for the lads on the team and let's just say I'm not impressed," I chuckle.

"Okay, well you try being the wingman for all of the boys and not accidentally set someone's hair on fire," Niall huffs out and I laugh, "It's harder than it looks."

"Please tell me that's not why Liam shaved his head that one year?" I say while gasping for air because I was laughing so much.

Niall meets my eyes and slowly smiles as confirmation. We look at each other in silence for a second before bursting into laughter. We laugh all the way until we're pulling into a parking space by the pitch. I wipe at my eyes and take a few deep breaths trying to calm myself down.

"Oh my god I'm going to pee myself," I say which only seems to make Niall laugh even harder, "No literally, I have to pee so bad."

Niall settles down and finally stops laughing sensing my urgency, "You go take a wee and I'll head down to the field," he smiles at me.

I give him a quick smile before I'm out the door and booking it for the bathrooms. I knew I shouldn't have had all that water before I left. My mum made me drink a full bottle so she could make sure I wasn't dehydrated. I smile to myself at the thought as I push the bathroom door open.

I quickly make my way to the urinals. There's only one other guy in here who's also using the urinals so I figured I'd go to the end so I'm not right next to him. Proper men's bathroom etiquette.

As I walk past him I feel something splash onto my leg. Did he just pee on me?

"Oops!" he exclaims looking down and trying to finish up as fast as possible.

"Hi," I chuckle getting to the end urinals.

I start to do my business and I hear the sink turn on and then off again. I listen for the door soon after that but I don't hear anything.

"I'm really sorry about that. That's never happened before I swear and I'm-" the lad rambles but I quickly cut him off.

"As much as I'd love to talk about this, could we please do it when I don't have my knob out," I say with a light tone without looking up.

He doesn't seem to get that I'm only partly joking, though, "Right! Sorry!"

There's a pause before I hear him rushing out the door. Okay then. I finish taking a piss which took a lot longer then I thought it would. I was probably getting pee shy from that guy in here. I wash up my hands and also my leg before checking myself in the mirror. I look pretty tired with the bags under my eyes and my hair is messy, well messier than usual, so I've put my hood on to try and cover it up. But other than that I don't look like complete shit for it being way too early in the morning, so I call that a win.

I open the door and head down to the pitch. I can hear footsteps behind me but I just shrug it off.

"Hey wait up!" someone shouts.

They sound kind of familiar and considering there's basically no one here I'm assuming they're calling for me. I sigh and turn around not ready to face anyone this early.

Holy fuck! My eyes widen and I can feel my mouth part a bit.
