Chapter 3 - A Birthday To Remember.

June 17th

Savannah's POV

I can't believe it finally my birthday! Luckily due to the fact that it my 16th birthday, and the head teacher is in our pack, the school gets an inset day, so I get to sleep in...

"Savannah, wake up!" my mum shouted.

...or so I thought. Apparently, because its my 16th the entire pack arranged a party for me. It was my mums idea thinking that it would help me find my mate faster. I of course knew nothing of this till yesterday night. Did I mention the fact that I HATE parties, there are to many people around and I'm claustrophobic. Anyways, I has to still get up early to get ready.

I love parties! My wolf, Shiro told me. I know that you do, but I don't. I replied. At least pretend to be exicted! Fine! I then cut off the mind link.

I brushed down and straightened my hair. I then picked out my favourite black dress, which had a sequin decorated onto the collar and around the end of the dress. I also put on my matching flats. I then put on my make up. I decided on the smokey look, because it looked the best with black clothing. After I was ready we drove down to the pack house.

The party was just like any party you would expect to see. Music, dancing, food and... people. Lots and lots of people. I don't even think this many people turner out for Amity's.

"Hey there, birthday girl."

speak of the devil.

"Hey, Amity" I replied. giving her a hug then presuming to hide behind her.

"Sav, hiding behind me, doesn't make you invisible." She pointed out the obvious.

"I know, but I can at least dream."

what did I tell you earlier Savy? Shiro asked sarcastically.

To at least pretend to be excited. I repeated.

Then hurry up and stop hiding and badly at that.

I cut the link and then stopped hiding behind Amity.

"Come on let's go to the table, everyone's waiting for you" She said, pulling me along with her.

We sat down at the table and began to eat. I could feel multiple eyes staring at me. It felt really awkward.

And you wonder why I hate crowds and parties, especially when they're for me.

Okay, so maybe it's not the most comfortable party, but still.

Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my back. I looked at my mum to tell her what's up and she immediately gives me an excuse to leave. I then dashes out of the pack house and into the forest.

When someone reaches their required age to become a full werewolf they are forced to shift into their wolf form, weather they like it or not.

When I reached the forest I relaxed my body, to make it easier for me to turn wolf. A few moments later I was in my full wolf form. I found an old mirror and looked at myself. I had jet black fur and my amethyst eyes. I was kinda small, but that's to be expected with me being small as a human to. I ran around a bit, I was faster than I thought I'd be, but that's good. Luckily for me, I hid an old bag out here for when this happened. So I turned back into my human form and got changed. Yeah... when we turn wolf, and go back to human we end up naked.... yeah. After I got changed I felt someone close to me. It felt very pleasant. This is when my mind snapped.

Hey, Shiro. This feeling, is it?

Yay!!! It our mate!

I  started to turn around but before I could fully spin round, my back was already against a tree. I opened my eyes to see Jacob!

Jacob's POV

Damn it! I'm running late!

Great I'm late to the blooming party for some girls 16th birthday.

Calm down dude! You're only like 10 minutes late!

Yeah, 10 frickin' minutes.

I was panicking at being late and my wolf, Sora, was not helping me to calm down. I finally managed to reach the pack house, but when I did I saw someone fleeing for the forest, So I ran after her.

I know but someone just ran through here I wanna see who it was.

I cut the mind link and kept looking around. When I reached a river side I saw a small wolf with jet black fur, it looked like they were looking for something. They then pulled out a bag and turned back to their human state and got dressed. I could not believe what I was seeing. It was Savannah! It must of been her birthday today. Then my wolf started to growl.

Wait a minute, is Savannah my...

I was suddenly over come with an over powering feeling. The next thing I Knew I was holding Savannah up against a tree.
