"today we have a new student! please make mark feel safe and welcomed!"

"where do i sit, ma'am?"

"hm... good question," the teacher replied, "theres a chair next to chenle, you can sit there."

chenle lifted his arm up and waved, greeting the boy, "hey!" he spoke, as mark sat down next to him, "i like your hoodie."

"thank you," mark spoke with a smile, "i like yours too."

jisung watched the boy greet the new student. he was never usually jealous, but something about the way the new kid looked at chenle made him suspicious. he just ignored it, not wanting to be annoying, and leant his head on jeno's shoulder.

"you okay?" jeno asked, his arm snaking around jisung's waist for comfort, "sung?"

"hm?- oh, yeah.." jisung nodded with a smile, as chenle placed his hand on his knee, noticing that the boy wasn't feeling the best, just from his body language, "chenle?"

"mm?" chenle replied, not too loud as the teacher had started speaking to the class again.

with a smile, lifting his head off of jeno's shoulder, jisung nodded, "hi."

"ah, cute~" chenle smiled, pinching the boy's cheek before concentrating on the lesson.

the day went on, and chenle was showing mark around the school, as he was asked to. it didnt take too long, and jisung could obviously go a while without chenle with him, but when they returned, they were laughing with eachother, sharing a bag of chips.

jisung pat the bench next to him where chenle would sit, which he did, but mark sat opposite, meaning he got the boy's full attention. jisung felt dumb for feeling the way he felt. he'd known mark for a few hours, and he'd known jisung for years.

he sighed, holding chenle's hand tightly, trying to hint to the boy. although, he just smiled, kissing his lips swiftly before returning to the conversation he was having with mark and jaemin.

jisung nodded, placing his head on the boy's shoulder gently.

"you okay?" chenle asked, as jisung was never usually this affectionate, especially in the canteen, "sungie?"

"mhm, i'm okay!" he smiled, sitting up again.

chenle shook his head, turning to face the boy, after gesturing to mark and jaemin to continue the conversation they were having, "you've been acting off all day, what's up, my love?"

jisung practically melted at the petname, as chenle held both of his hands in his with a worried expression, "i miss you.." he admitted, with a sigh and a weak smile.

"what do you mean?" chenle tilted his head, pushing the boy's hair out of his eyes and tucking it behind his ear, "i'm here!"

jisung laughed at his goofy boyfriend, before stealing his bottle of water, taking a sip from it, "yeah- i know- it's just- i'm being dumb again."

chenle rolled his eyes playfully, before putting his hand on the boy's knee, "it's not because of-" he side-eyed mark for a short moment, "him?"

jisung didnt say anything, instead he just smiled at the boy, expression full of guilt.

"oh jisung no~" chenle laughed lightly, massaging the knee he was holding, "okay, one, no. not him-"

jisung chuckled, looking down at the latter's hand.

"and two, why would i pick anyone over you?"

jisung laughed once more, not being able to determine if that was cute, or cringey. he decided on a thin line between the two, before he held his hand and puckered his lips subtly.

rolling his eyes, chenle pulled his mask down and held jisung close to plant a hidden kiss on his lips, "happier now?"

jisung nodded, shuffling up closer to chenle, so their thighs were together like magnets. he snaked his arm around his waist, to mark his territory as he continued with his conversation.
