The Doctor's Assistant (Ratchet X Reader)

Chapter Twenty: Persuasion

So the whole getting the Predacon bones before the Decepticons do was a massive fail. The Decepticons got them all and we have half of one. And some more downsides, Magnus lost his hand to the Predacon that came back from the Antarctic while looking for some exposed Energon. And some more clones were found but Wheeljack blew them up. Ratchet replaced Magnus' hand with a claw since that was all we had. Or all we could make with the limited equipment and spare parts.

But the Predacon did something during Wheeljack's and Magnus' battle that has shocked us all. The Predacon has learned to Transform. Apparently they never got to that stage so I see why it was a shock. But soon, we were getting reports that the Decepticons are taking materials and equipment to build something. Again? They've already done something similar when we encountered Unicron, what could they possibly be building now? Fowler called later telling us Decepticons were stealing again but they're still at the sight.

So, everyone bridged there except Magnus who wasn't allowed to. He needs to get used to his new hand and we don't really know if he can transform with it yet. So he stays here. After a few minutes, Optimus called and ordered Ratchet to have myself and the other humans to be at a safe distance because they were coming back with a Decepticon prisoner. It was Soundwave. They attached him to a table and waited for him to wake up.

Soundwave can't contact the Decepticons any information and they can't pinpoint his location either. Optimus asked Soundwave what Megatron is trying to build but Soundwave was being difficult. He made Optimus' questions into a remix, blared an alarm that made us all cover our ears and then started to erase all the information and data he had stored on his files. He spoke some last words before shutting himself down. Goodness. He's really stubborn. So, we went back to doing our own thing. Then more Decepticon activity. Everyone except Bulk and Smokescreen left to stop them.

"Can't we throw a tarp over him? He's creeping me out," I said.

"Yeah. It's like he's watching, no matter where you go," Smokescreen said.

"Would all of you stop focusing on what Soundwave can or cannot see and help me figure out what he did not tell?" Ratchet asked, "Like why Megatron would be interested in something believed to generate enough power to create a black hole."

"Black holes? So Megatron's looking to swallow up the known universe," Smokescreen said

"And everything in it," Bulk said.

"No, no. He would merely want to harness the power of something capable of swallowing worlds, in order to... create one," I think Ratchet knows what Megatron is up to.

He got in contact with Optimus about it.

"Optimus, I know this hardly seems the time but it may aid you in your task," Ratchet said.

"Go ahead," Optimus urged

"I believe that Megatron may be attempting to rebuild the Omega Lock.

Do we let him?"

"No. For you know as well as I that Megatron will use a reconstructed Lock to cyberform both Cybertron and Earth. And that is one abuse of power that we cannot allow."

Ratchet sighed, "Understood."

And everything was quiet. So Megatron is trying to rebuild the Omega Lock to restore Cybertron and most likely Cyberform Earth too. But I can't think about it right now. Because we have a new problem. Lazerbeak followed Fowler back to base and he's trying to shoot at us! But he first freed Soundwave then everyone attacked Lazerbeak. Lazerbeak flew around before attaching himself back into Soundwave.

He woke up and tased Bulk and Smokescreen. Fowler tried attacking him with a fire extinguisher only to get knocked to the side and knocked out. Soundwave approached Ratchet and tased him too, knocking him out. Only me left. I took an axe and tried swinging it at him but I only caused a dent. He turned to me and grabbed me. I struggled against him but he just opened a groundbridge and took me and Ratchet through. Ratchet was taken away and I was given to Megatron.

I think Soundwave told him about me because there was a wicked smirk on his face. He ordered a random trooper to take me away and make me comfortable. Comfortable as in putting me in a cell with this trooper and replacing my collar with a shock collar?! Yeah, very comfortable! If I did anything wrong, shocked. If I resisted, shocked. It hurt a lot. Very soon I was put on a leash and taken to another cell. The cell Ratchet was in.

"Are you through poking around inside my head?" Ratchet asked, "You didn't find what you wanted, did you? Or else you wouldn't be here."

"What I want apparently does not yet exist," Megatron said.

"And that would be?"

"We would very much like for you to complete your work on the formula for synthetic Energon."

"Even if I were capable, do you think that I would hand you a limitless supply of fuel and ammunition just so you can turn around and use it against the Autobots?" Ratchet turned away.

"Oh, you misunderstand, dearest Ratchet. I intend to use your formula for the purpose of creation, not destruction," Ratchet turned back around, "We have fortuitously discovered that your Synth-en, When combined with cyber-nucleic acid, may in fact form the basis for an alternative cyber-matter."

"You are attempting to rebuild the Omega lock."

"We stand on the verge of a great moment in time, you and I. The restoration of our very homeworld."

"Collaborate with the barbarian who essentially destroyed our planet in the first place? Who sadistically crushed Bumblebee's voice box while looking him in the eye? No, thank you."

"Then I present you with a choice: Complete your research, or..."

Soundwave walked forward and showed him a picture of Raf, Jack and Miko.

"Are these humans supposed to mean something to me?" Ratchet asked

"If not, I am certain this will," Megatron summoned the trooper forward.

He dragged me over while I tried not to choke on the collar because they were holding the leash up too much and I had to be in front of him.

"(Y/N)!" Ratchet said shocked.

"Ratchet, just do as he says. Please," I begged.

Megatron chuckled as Soundwave also showed our new base, "and as you must certainly be aware, we know the location of your current base. Accept my offer, and I will allow your fellow Autobots and human pets to remain unharmed. Think it over, good Doctor."

Megatron left and I was dragged with him. Please accept the deal, Ratchet. Megatron ordered the base to be blown up anyway. I tried to argue about the deal he made with Ratchet only to get shocked by the collar. This is going to be a long day.
