"Lia, fancy seeing you here," Harry smirks.

"What are you doing here, Harry?" I mutter, unamused.

"I just sang, actually." My eyes widen as I struggle to keep my mouth from dropping to the floor.

"Just... sang? Since when did you sing?"

"I'm in a band, actually. Not that you'd care..." He mutters at the end.

"Not that I'd care? Umm, have you heard yourself?"

"Can we not do this here..."

"If you'd given me your number, maybe I wouldn't have to!" I whisper harshly. He just sighs and begins to walk away. I reach out to pull his arm back, then pause, resorting to tapping him lightly on the shoulder. He turns to face me once again. "How did you go? I heard the audience applaud."

"I got two yes's. I saw you got three."

"Yes... why were you watching?"

"Ugh, I just wanted to see the competition." He stutters.

"Sure..." I smirk.

"It's true!" He exclaims, quickly realising that the situation has now been directed towards him instead of me. "Well, I guess I'll see you around here then." He begins walking off.

"So much for the 'not talking to me' thing." I mutter once I think he's out of ear shot, but in one swift motion he has spun on his heels and is inches away from my face, a glare obvious in his expression.

"What did you say?" He spits, a drop landing on my eyelid. I take a second to wipe it off before replying.

"I thought you said you were never going to talk to me again." I state, stepping even closer to him if that is even possible.

"I told you to never talk to me again. I never said anything about myself." He steps closer, our noses almost touching. I sigh, half amused.

"You think this is all a game, don't you, Harry?" I ask him, venom in my tone. He doesn't reply, just keeps his eyes glued to mine, not blinking. "Fucking me just to prove something to the bozos who you call your friends. Well, listen right here. I don't play games, Harry." I spit his name in spite. "But you've started one and I am going to win. Except this isn't a game anymore; this is a war. And I am going to come out on top." I notice his eyes linger on my lips for a moment as I lick them, then return to mine.

"I see how it is. See, I thought you would have apologised to me." He sniggers and bites his bottom lip.

"Fuck off, Harry Styles." And with that, I stamp on his toes with my heal and exit the building, not looking back to see what affect my action had on him.

I meet my friends outside. The whole Harry ordeal must have been a lot quicker than it felt because I actually arrive there before them. I am stood there waiting for a few minutes before someone taps me on the shoulder. I turn around, expecting to see Aisha, Cali or Georgia, but instead see a boy around my age with deep brown eyes.

"Hey!" He greets warmly, and I can't help but smile at this strange boy.

"Hi? Do I know you?" I reply, semi-confused.

"Not until now." He states. "I'm Liam." He holds out his hand for me to shake, to which I politely oblige.

"Cecilia, well, Lia." I stutter, letting go of his hand.

"Lovely name for a lovely girl." He hums, mostly to himself. I blush and look down at my feet.

"Did you come to audition?" I ask, attempting some small talk.

"Yep, I sang this morning."

"What song?"

"Cry Me a River, the Michael Bublé version."

"Cool! I love that song!" I reply. I feel a warmness inside of me that I haven't felt in a long time while talking to him, I don't know what it is but I am enjoying it immensely. "Why did you come to talk to me?"

"I heard you sing just before; it was amazing."

"Thank you so much! I'm sure you sounded great too!" This is where his bright smile fades slightly, looking down from my eyes for half a second, before resuming his gaze.

"I was just wondering if you'd like to go out for coffee or something this afternoon?" I freeze. Liam was a nice guy and all but I barely knew him. "It'd be a good chance to get to know each other." He seems to read my mind.

"She'd love to!" Cali pipes in from a few metres behind me, her and the other girls walking in my direction.

"I guess it's settled," He reaches his hand out to me. "Come on!" I look back at my friends and they give me a glance which says 'go for it!' So I do; I take his hand and he pulls me down the street.
