#36 - "Mom?"

Weeks later

"Good morning, baby..." Mina said with her morning voice, walking her pace to hug Chaeyoung from behind.

"Hey, good morning. Wait, isn't it too early for you to wake up, Minari?" Chaeyoung replied while accepiting Mina's hug and at the same time, flipping the egg she's frying.

"It's fine. I'll just stay here while you're cooking." Mina again said with her cracking voice. Burying her face to the crook of Chaeyoung's neck while still hugging the latter.

"Okay, I'm done. Let's eat"

Mina released her arms around Chaeyoung's waist and started walking towards the dining table then immediately sat down.

"Where are you heading today anyways?"

"I'll go to one of my grandpa's hospitals since he told me to go there for some reasons. You know, he really fulfilled his promise in inheriting his heirs to me. Tss"

"Ayaw mo non? You're now rich.."

"I don't need money, Chaeng. All I need is a normal life with you and a peace of mind, that's all."

"By the way, Chaeng. It's now already 2 months from our wedding. I cannot believe it.."

"Kaya ngaaa. It's already 2 months, are we going to divorce now since our fathers said just give them 2 months and it's all done?"

Mina twitched her eyebrows, "Gaga! Why? You want a divorce?"

"Haha ofcourse not, joke lang eh." Chaeyoung placed her palm on top of Mina's and smiled.

" Diba sabi mo you wanted to protect me because something might happen when you turn 23. See? Nothing happened to us baby. You're just overthinking, Minari..."

"Yeah, I'm kind of relieved that nothing happened to us but we still can't be so sure baby. Just.. don't tell anyone our location here because we're now safe here, no one knows this place aside from us. Not even our friends or your family."

"Aye aye, captain. I won't tell anyone"

The two continued eating their breakfast then proceed to taking a bath after, together.

"I'll see you later, baby. You take care okay? Call me if something happened. I love you" Chaeyoung said, kissing Mina's temple then to her lips.

"You, too. I love you, Chaeng..." Again, Chaeyoung kissed Mina's lips before going outside the car. Waving her hands to Mina's car who's driving away.

Minutes of driving, Mina arrived at the hospital with her iconic resting bitch face. Walking her pace to the lobby, Mina saw a familiar figure on her peripheral vision. She tilted her head to the right and immediately saw her father, Akira.

"What the hell are you doing here, Dad?"

"Oh, there you are. I haven't seen you for a long time, my dear daughter."

"Don't act like you care about me, Akira. Tell me, what are you doing here?"

"Am I not allowed to be here? I'm also here because my own father called me, just like you do, Mina. So chill."

Mina gritted her teeth in anger and fumed walking to her grandpa's office. She entered the elevator and as soon as Mina entered the office of the CEO, she rushedly looked for her grandfather and exclaimed in Nihonggo,

"Grandpa, what the hell is he doing here?"

"What? Who?" Her grandfather, Katana replied in confusion.
