Re-building schools and relationships

The two days meant for rest and relaxation did not fly by. They dragged on slowly and painfully. The nightmares Domino had to endure were bad enough but with two children and five teenagers to look after plus her injured boyfriend the days were stressful. Really stressful.

Obviously, it wasn't any of their fault. In fact Domino liked all of the mutants that stayed with her. Samuel and Aco reminded her a lot of Peter and Wanda. Aco's mutation was red and he was kind of quiet and secluded like Wanda, although she had grown out of her shell during college, whereas Samuels mutation was blue and he was energetic, matching Peter. The twins were together a lot of the time and when they weren't Aco was in his room wanting some alone time. Even if they weren't together physically they were mentally. They always knew what the other was thinking or feeling (no it's not telepathy).

Azari was cool. She was the same age as Anya, who Domino had introduced her to; they instantly hitted it off. The pair had promised to continue they're friendship once the phone at Xavier's was rebuilt, along with the rest of the house. She was strong willed and confident however not in an annoying and disruptive way.

The older teens were the ones Domino talked with more since they were older. Kurt was very kind despite the hardships he had been through in his life. He tried cheering everyone up and got everyone to think of the positive. Domino was greatful Kurt was there, without him people would not be feeling as happy as they are now.

Domino and Ororo were new best friends. She was the oldest "kid" at her house since she was 19 years old. Ororo was surprisingly calm considered she was helping Apocalypse destroy the world a few days ago. Once getting to know her it was clear she was a good person; she had just made a bad choice. Her calmness balanced out Domino's unpredictable personality. They were already close after two days.

Jubilee was easily excitable and she searched for gossip even when there was nearly nothing to gossip about; Somehow she had heard Erik was going to be pardoned by the government? That girl knew everything that went on at Xaviers's school and Domino listened to her ramble about it even if she didn't care.

Jean probably knew all the gossip too yet she didn't say anything. With her telepathy she could read minds and find out anything she wants but she didn't seem like the type to go searching through peoples minds just for some petty chitchat. She was the most responsible person in the house even though she was only sixteen. She cleaned up after herself and was polite. Happiness radiated off the girl when she was included in a group conversation or asked to just join them. She was happy to be part of a team and happy to have friends. Despite the belonging she felt Jean still had nightmares (same as Domino) at night. Her powers caused things to float and shake due to her distress and Domino subconsciously copied this. The house shook at night as though there was an earthquake going on. The pair bonded over their night terrors and Domino tried to help Jean with them as much as she could.

Even though the days had been overwhelming Domino had still enjoyed the mutants company and was slightly disappointed that once the school was rebuilt she would see them less. Would she even see them at all? What is even going to happen now that they've saved the world? Are the X-men going to be a thing again?

She would have to ask Charles once she saw him. Right now Domino and Peter were in his basement about to leave for the school. Domino and Kurt we're gonna teleport/speed run people to the school since it was much easier than another driving six hours and neither of them were as tired and worn out as they had been the day of Apocalypse. Kurt had already teleported the others and himself too the school and Domino teleported herself and the car they had taken too the car rental place Charles had got it from. Peter wanted her to run him there; he missed the thrill of running after only two days. Domino grabbed the back of his head and ran at top speed all the way too the school.
