I start to run to my house. I have about half a mile to go. In about ten minutes, I reach my house. My house is really just a tarp on the ground, with two creates, a pillow and a blanket. One of the two creates holds my food, and the other is a bed stand, that I sometimes use as a storage. I sit down and look at my food.

“I am going to leave.” I tell myself. I get my blanket and wrap my food in it. I pick up my bed stand and grab the one picture under it. It is a picture of my family when I was five. My mom and dad on the outside and me and my sister in the middle. I don’t know what happened to my sister. She was two years older than me. Maybe I will finally know what happened to her.

I get up and leave. I know where I’m going first. I haven’t been there in a long time. Ever since I buried them, I never came back there. Maybe it’s the key out of here. The heart of this forbidden land is there. I begin to walk. The burial site is the opposite direction of the rising sun.

When I see the edge of my land, I stop and sit. The sun is about to set. That means it’s going to get dark soon. I will have to make a camp. Here it doesn’t get that cold at night. I decide I will sleep in a tree. I’m not quite sure what lurks here. I tie the blanket around my neck, making sure everything won’t fall out. I start to climb up and I can see a place where three branches meet at the trunk. My hands and feet work in unison to get to that spot.
