okay btw the secret is the air brush tool and like 3 different layers for blending. use clipping masks
start off with a base color i picked the darkest.
then add a clipping mask and add the highlights, and i use that to plan out the light areas. then i add slightly different hues into it (so more green-ish blues or blue-ish greens in this case) around the highlights. then i shade it with a darker color and add it anywhere theres not color. and then i mess with it until it looks good :)
the reason i use the air brush is because the edges of the brush arnt hard, so it easily blends and can layer over itself easily
try and go light also, it helps
