It had been two months since I had asked y/n out. I was struggling to come up with ideas of where to take them. I had also got my citizenship card and my updated driver's license so now I could legally take them somewhere in a car. Each night I stayed in their room with them. Most of the time we just cuddled. Except one time where we got sorta carried away. Needless to say, we've both been busy.
"Ok so, you can take them to the mall," Scott said reading off the list. "A road trip," Jubilee said after. "Ooh you can take them to the carnival! Write that down Scott!" Jean interrupted.
"You guys realize I haven't been to any of those places before, right?" I mutter. "Dude, you wanted our help. I mean you haven't seen them in like forever," Peter murmurs.
"Yeah, no shit! Okay, I- listen I haven't taken them out in almost two decades. I don't know what they're into. What's a place you know they like going to?" I ask the table of young mutants. "I've heard they like going to the library," Ororo said after a minute of thinking.
"Ooh yeah! And the movie theater!" Jubilee said happily. "I think the movie theater is the best choice," I say.
"Thank you, all of you. I just am not creative at all." I sigh thanking them. I get up from the lunch table and go into the kitchen. Grabbing two sandwiches I had made the day prior and taking them to y/n's classroom.
I open the door seeing them grading papers, they look up at me with their gorgeous y/e/c eyes. "Hey Cass, come in," they say motioning to where they were sitting at their desk. I sat next to them putting one of the sandwiches that was in a plastic bag on their desk. "I didn't want you to miss lunch," I said unwrapping my sandwich and taking a bite.
They smiled and put their pen down moving the papers away and unwrapping their sandwich, taking a large bite. "Mhm, thank you Sean," they said after two bites. "I forgot to ask you this, but what class do you teach here?" I ask.
"Mutant history, genetics, stuff like that," they say before they finish their sandwich.
I finish mine after a few minutes as well, "so, when exactly are you gonna be taking everything on that date you asked me on?", they asked. "Does tonight work?" I asked them. They smiled and nodded their head. "So, would you wanna become a teacher here?" They asked me. "I'm not the most qualified person to teach and you should know that," I scoffed.
"But something like physical education, Sean you're smarter than you know," they said. "Well thank you doll, I'll talk to Hank and see what he thinks," I smiled.
They got up throwing our trash away and grabbing their coat and bag and walking towards the door. "Where are you going?" I asked confused. "To get ready for our date obviously," they chuckled and walked out the door.
Y/N POV
You quickly skipped up the stairs to the dorm house to the professor's level. You opened the door to your room and threw my stuff on the bed. You ran to your closet flinging the doors open staring at the options for clothes. You looked into Sean's mind. Talking to him.
"What kind of clothes should I wear? Like casual or formal?" You asked.
"Casual would be best," he stated.
"Thanks babe" you said sweetly.
You left his mind and looked back at the closet packed with clothes. After what felt like hours you chose an outfit.
