~We continue~

Newt walked up to me and I was getting worried about the thought of period here. I didn't know if creators sended me more clothes and what about pads or tampons?

-Aren't you worried about all those knifes and dead animals? Blood-house is full of them, Newt asked little worried. -I know those aren't going to be used on me and I know how meat land on the plate. Someone has to do it, I said looking at Newt. -I just can't imagine you being able to kill something. You're sure you can? It's fine if you back out, Newt said gently and I thought about it for a second. -I have to kill it? I asked stopping. -I don't think Winston is going to kill extra so you don't. You neither do it yourself or you don't, Newt said looking at the blood-house. -Tch yeah. I think med-Jack's are more like it, I said taking couple steps back from the blood-house. -Jeff and Clint will be glad to have an extra pair of hands, Newt said sliding his hand into mine making my heart skip a beat. Butterflies in my stomach started dancing again and that was even smoother than Adams complement. We turned around walking to the hut beside homestead. I don't know why, but when am holding Newt's hand I feel ten times more confident and sure that I'm safe.

-Like you figured out med-Jack's are our medics and deal with many things. Cuts, burns even broken bones they also treat hurt runners. I didn't tell you before because that could maybe have been too much, but the reason why the maze is so dangerous is because of greivers. Those are the monster that live in the maze and sting runners making their memories come back in a slow and really painfully way. You probably wonder why we don't sting everyone and get our memories back, Newt said looking at me and I nodded my head trying to prosess things. -The reason is that they get sting on the run. Greivers try to kill everyone that enter the maze. It's bloody hard to get rid of a greiver if it's running after you and in most cases you either get stung, get your arm or leg broken or you die. Runners have to get back before maze walls close or they get stuck with a greiver for a night and no one ever survived a night in the maze, Newt said being serious and I looked at the walls realising why Newt was so careful back then. He's always trying to protect me.

-Runners miss a sense. A sense of fear and logic, I said looking at the open wall door. -Maybe, but you will learn how to treat those suiciders, Newt joked making me smile with a giggle. -Yeah maybe, but without them risking things we will be stuck here forever, I said seeing the main problem and goal at the same time. -We are stuck here for 3 years. Maybe there is no way out, Newt sighed and I tighten my grip on his hand walking in front. -The maze must be huge and it change every night then you add blood thirsty greivers with a main goal to kill you. It can't be easy and you don't have more than 10 hours a day to explore, eat and get back on, I said walking backwards looking at Newt. -How you know it's 10 hours? Newt asked suspiciously.

-Walls open at 7am and close at 5pm. It's 10 hours, but you gotta also count the way in and way out. A pause to eat and drink at least twice because a human body during strong exercise and heat dehydrate faster and burn more calories. Let's say they run to a spot in 4 hours right? And they have to stop to not get on the dangerous level of dehydration and hunger. The body also have to rest for a moment so it doesn't collapse during the day. A hour should be enough to do all of those things so we subject 2 hours of those basic 10. Now you have 8 hours which is one way in and one way back. You have a lot to explore in those 8 hours and have to watch out for a grevier all the time which can't be easy. 10 hours sound like a lot, but actually is not much if you want to scan such huge area for a maybe small clue, I said surely and Newt looked at me little shocked.

-You figured out the whole running already? Newt asked still shocked. -It's not hard. You just use math and logic, I said smiling and we got to med-hut. -The best part is that you're correct. You use 4 hours to run to one section, Newt said turning me around to walk forward. -So there are sections? How many? I asked quickly. -8, Newt said small mumbling and seem to reget mentioning it. -8 sections and how many runners are there? I asked already thinking about it. -Maybe that's enough about the maze? Newt said opening the door to med-hut. -You don't like that am asking about it? I asked with a risen eyebrow and Newt closed the door looking at me. -No. It's just that..you aren't actually supposed to know that there is a maze out there. You're way too clever to not figure it out and it was better to tell you instead of making you find out on your own. Some gladers still don't know and they don't want to know, Newt explained softly. -Why not? The whole point of. -I don't know. We did inform them about it, but they don't believe that we are trapped in the middle of a maze, Newt said cutting me off looking over the Glade. -Too much to handle? I suggested. -I guess. As long as you don't enter the maze you can ask about it, but ask the right person, Newt said opening the door again. -Sure, I said smiling and we walked inside the med-hut.
