DELIVERY

For the first time, I'm trying to write the blurb without reading. One reason is speed, and the next is accuracy. Though I have to pepper in some nuance, I've since found that sometimes my assumption of events leads to bias in the blurb that doesn't fit. Therefore, I used the information gathered and constructed a few blurbs for you. Of course, you may need to change the tone depending on what your main genre entails. I will separate them into 3 paragraphs and you simply choose which combination suits you best. I'll put together the combination I recommend but you are free to use disregard it, of course.

FIRST PARAGRAPH

In the distant town of Heatherstown, people are dying at the hands of a strange demonic force, leaving only two options--fight or flee.

In the distant town of Heatherstown, an ancient dark wizard awakened from his two centuries long sleep. Due to a series of mysterious, gruesome deaths, people have only two choices--fight or flee.

SECOND PARAGRAPH

(They choose to fight and) Raya Rosemary Gaunt, a demon-hunting witch, is sent to investigate the gruesome deaths. Unbeknownst to her, so is Benjamin Frost, a mysterious dhampir with a dark and tragic past.

(They choose to fight and) Raya Rosemary Gaunt, a demon-hunting witch, is sent to investigate the gruesome deaths. What she finds is Benjamin Frost, a mysterious dhampir with a dark and tragic past.

THIRD PARAGRAPH

Benjamin also hunts demons and offers his help. Raya reluctantly accepts. But Heatherstown harbours terrible secrets and Raya doesn't know who she can trust. With its forests out of bounds at night, she's forced to follow clues that lead to only one conclusion--the reason for the murders is connected to Benjamin Frost's past and she'd unwittingly allowed the enemy to get too close.

Despite Benjamin's aloof exterior, she finds something intriguing. He also hunts demons and offers his help. Raya reluctantly accepts. But Heatherstown harbours terrible secrets and Raya doesn't know who she can trust. With its forests out of bounds at night, she's forced to follow clues that lead to only one conclusion--Benjamin is involved in this, and she must put her feeling aside and face him.

[If you want to ramp up the 'mystery' about Benjamin, you could put 'Benjamin claims to also hunt demons and offers his help.']
