I don't know why exactly, but it seems like every single cartoon, whether it's old or new, HAS TO HAVE an episode where:
1 - Character A meets/builds/finds a robot
2 - Character B (or more characters) react to it
3 - Character A claims that the robot will "make X easier" or "change our lives forever"
4 - Robot does whatever's claimed, but suddenly starts to go haywire and becomes evil
5 - The characters (mostly character A) have to either destroy the robot or do something else with it
6 - Episode endsIt's EXACTLY IN THAT ORDER
It's in EVERY. SINGLE. DARN. CARTOON!
It's even in cartoons I've already watched and came to love (like TMNT 2012 with the episode "Metalhead")
I have absolutely NO IDEA why it's a rule to do this (or even IF it's an actual rule), but there's normally no alterations to the whole episode concept, no matter the show.
I want to do my own cartoons in the future and I just hope the networks don't force me to do this kind of thing :D
