My lovely Y/n,

I hope you are always waking up to a great morning. It is not very great here at all, so I wish you the opposite of mine. I am contemplating whether I should tell you some news about the war. I do not want you crying over a letter of mine, but I figured it would be for the best if I, at least, give you a heads up. Our courier, who has been sending the military messages, to and from the battle area and the camp, told us that the situation has become more dreadful. We have lost six battalions to the enemy, and they are planning to send more soldiers out to the war. I have been doing basic errands here and there and training hard, so I think it is my time to shine now? Do not worry. I will not be leaving until next week. They are still planning how to divide the stock of troops in here and where to send us. I will send you a letter by then.

Also, is Ricky trying to flirt with you? When I come back, he will get a taste of this fist of mine. Just kidding.

It is really hard to leave my woman alone. Men flock over you, it makes me angry. I wish you were less pretty sometimes.

Be safe, my love. I love you to the moon and back.

Yours truly,

Kurapika
