Chapter 4: Lucky me

1st person POV(Y/N):
'It's 6:10 damnit could this morning get any worse!'
I let out a tired sigh already wanting to go back home. Next to me was Tanjiro who was still holding my wrist firmly but not painfully which I didn't mind. A few feet up ahead was Zenitsu and Inosuke bickering about whatever;not bothering to listen in on it since I didn't care. We've been walking a lot longer than I usually do to the high school and it's the exact same path too which only adds to the confusion.
"Hey Tanjiro are we almost there because it seems like we've been waking for quite some time now?"
I asked making sure to emphasize quite just to be certain I'm getting my point across.
"Hm oh yeah it should be ju-"
*RING*
3rd person POV:
In the distance a bell was heard before the make out of a building crowed with people comes into view.
"We're going to be late hurry up you guys or else I'll be in my 60s by the time we get there!"
You yell towards the two in front while sprinting past them. Tanjiro's grip on your wrist was now gone causing him to be left behind.
"UOH IS THIS A RACE? WELL THEN THE GREAT INOSUKE IS GONNA WIN HAHA"
He starts sprinting after you trying his best to catch up.Causing Tanjiro and Zenitsu to be hit by Inosuke's dust trail.
"AHHH HEY WATCH WHERE YOUR GOING YOU MAN BOAR!"
Zenitsu yells angrily at Inosuke for dirtying his clothes. Tanjiro remains quiet still stunned from your sudden outburst and a bit disappointed at the loss of warm in his hand. Zenitsu grasp Tanjiro's shoulders pushing him into a light jog trying to keep up with you two crackheads.

-1 minute of sonic mode later-

"HUFF HUFF HUFF"
You could hear your heart beat in yours ears from having to run about 200 meters.
'I had to have beat Usain Bolt's time'
You chuckle to yourself continuing on walking into the building. Inosuke following right behind you demanding a retry. You turn around expecting to see Tanjiro and Zenitsu walking with you two but instead you watch them just now enter the school grounds. Waiting a few seconds for them to reach you guys you again start to walk past lockers not really sure which ones yours.
"Ummm did you guys ever get you locker numbers?"
You ask turning around still lost on where to go.
"Yeah I did"
"Mhm me too"
Tanjiro and Zenitsu replied taking out their schedules pointing to the top right.
"What's a locker again?"
Inosuke asks haveing a dumbfounded look on his face.
'Yeah I expected that response from Inosuke'
Just then a tiny wait formed into your pocket which appeared to be your schedule when taken out.
'Oh so the game mechanics came in handy again I see'
Looking to the top right of the paper you see 247 meaning that it's on the second floor. It's not to bad since the three of you share the same floor with the exception of Inosuke who is still in the Stone Age.

-2nd floor-

"Found it"
You say out loud throwing a fist in the air victoriously. Zenitsu walks back up to you after putting his stuff away in his locker which was only 20 lockers higher than yours.
"You need any help?"
He asks sounding genuine for once instead of a flirty creep. Shaking your head you hang your backpack up and closing your locker. The two other males walk up to you guys from around the corner since Tanjiro's locker is on the other side of the floor.
"Who has what for first period?" Tanjiro asks taking out his schedule to check along with you and Zenitsu.
"I have history"
Tanjiro states showing his paper pointing to the first box. Turning yours you show that you also have history along with Inosuke.
"Aw man I have math!"
Zenistu whines also turning around his paper.
"Oh I'm sure you'll be fine,your a lot smarter than you think you know"
You say trying to cheer up your friend earring a flustered face from him in return.

Zenitsu Agatsuma

'I guess my encouragement worked after all'
You thought relieved that you could help and not make a fool out of yourself at the same time.
"Yeah your right I can do this!"
He says with a determined tone running off to the unknown(strong Frozen ll vibes right now). Walking with Tanjiro and Inosuke to your shared history class which is 123.
'Wait what time is it anyway?'
You take out your phone checking the time to se that it's 6:18.
'Oh we're defiantly late now'
You grimaced now starting to jog down the stairs copied by your two friends. You turn a corner a little to fast causing your face to hit something solid but bouncy at the same time.
"Oh are you okay?!"
A loud but concerned voice yelled grabbing your face to check for injury. Meeting the gaze of a yellow and red pair of eyes that resembles a raging fire.
'Oh hey it's Rengoku'
You thought still holding your throbbing face. Glancing over it for a few seconds seeing nothing wrong along with a nod from you he pulls his hands away.
"Okay good and let that be a lesson for you to never run in the halls again"
Kyojuro states remaining at a loud tone but with a more stern face. You can only look at him with confusion as to why he is still yelling(even though you've seen the anime in this au I'd still be shocked). Tanjiro and Inosuke remain quiet to scared to speak up.
"Another thing as well, why are you three still in the halls after the bell rang? I'm going to have to give you after school detention"
He looks down at you almost towering over you by a foot(I'm making you guys 5.3).
'Just my luck could this day get any worse?!'
You thought forming a frown on your face. Kyojuro notices looking a bit more sympathetic now.
"Sorry but I can't let you three go unpunished"
He says a bit softer with a hint of guilt shocking you. All your other superiors were always stern and unforgiving unlike him and it warms your heart.
"No no it's okay your just doing your job and keeping us safe! It's really respectable and you should continue to do it"
You say giving him a warm smile which startles him a bit never actually receiving a response like that from a fellow student. Usually they argue or storm off whenever he catches and punishes them. His heart flutters a bit from you kind words and especially your smile.
"O-oh no problem at all just happy to help!"
He yells out to you with a lot more confidence then before.

Kyojuro Rengoku

'Awww he must have been hurting'
You thought causing your heart to cry out for him due to his possible pain.
"Anyways which class are you three going to now?"
He asks changing the subject to something more professional.
"Oh we have history it's room 123 Kyojuro-san"
You state earning a faint blush from Kyojuro which didn't go unnoticed by Tanjiro and his keen nose(I'll let him keep his ability).
"Oh lucky you since I'm the heading there myself; come with me"
He chuckles leading the way past you guys.

Author:Another chapter is out and I hold say it took the most work but bu far my favorite so far. I am also trying to push more yandere into this just in case your wondering why the love meters go up so high.
