Chapter 8: Paranoid

-20 minutes later-

1st person POV:
"So who was your art sensei anyway?"
I ask Tegen-kun who had a thoughtful expression trying to give me an answer.
"Well I'm mostly self taught but I did have a neighbor who helped me, his name wasss....oh DARIN"
He replies getting up from his seat to stretch. The conversation we've been having had lasted for around 20 minutes. Tegen checks his phone giving a understanding "hmph".
"Well sadly this conversation has to end due to there being 2 minutes of class left"
He points his phone towards me showing the time to be 7:48 (I'll post your schedule and period times in "Relationship Progress & Info").
"Aw I don't wanna go, I wanna stay with you"
I pouted sadly not liking the idea of leavening such a cool character like Tegen. He let's out an amused chuckle and pats my head which I secretly enjoyed.

"That's the bell Y/n time to get going"
Tegen rubs my shoulder and walks out the room. I hop off the desk and grab my binder and pencil case off my chair.
"ARGH"
I let out a yell from a hard force hitting my back. I look at my shoulder to see an arm wrapped around me.
"Where ya going now M/n?"
The owner of the arm ask which I recognize as Inosuke.
"I believe science how about you?"
Taking out a crumbled up piece of paper from his pocket and opens it.
"I've got gym......eh who cares I'm coming with you"
He states dragging me out the class room to who knows where. I struggle for a bit in his grasp managing to slither my way out finally.
"Wait you can't do that! And besides you don't even know which classroom I have"
I retort not planning on letting him skip his 3rd period class.
"Why not and who do you think you are trying to tell the great Inosuke what to do!?"
He yells fuming from the nose and ears clearly frustrated with my resistance but I am not worried by that.
"You can't because I said so and last time I checked I still have freedom to do what I like even if I'm your "servant""
Turning on my heels I begin to walk away from Inosuke who just starts to follow me. Sighing from frustration I look behind me and give Inosuke a "really?" look. He says nothing but instead crosses his arms and waits for my next move.
"Fine how about this, if you go to gym I'll do what ever you want for 24 hours. Deal?"
I hold out my hand to him hoping he'll accept and go on his merry way. There's a long tension in the atmosphere as he seems to think it over.
"FINE"
He says grab in my hand and shakes it up and down violently. Snatching my hand back saving myself from a dislocated shoulder. Inosuke runs off down the hall going to who knows where.
"Hopefully he finds the basement"
I mumbled to myself a bit concerned to leave him alone. I start walking to room 213 which I was happy to know it's also on the 2nd floor.

3rd person POV:
Turning the corner you almost run into someone but luckily you jerk back in time.
"Oh sorry"
You apologize looking up to see Tanjiro surprised but quickly gives you a smile.
"No need to apologize Y/n accidents happen and luckily neither of us got hurt"
Tanjiro reassures you patting your head for a bit to long. Pulling away you fix your hair then looking back at Tanjiro who was spaced out.

Tanjiro's POV:
I was turning a corner not looking forward but instead on the floor.
'It's so lonely without Y/n they really know how to lighten up a room'
I've been thinking about them a lot more ever since this morning. They've been hanging out with a lot of people recently which I can't exactly blame them for but it's still upsetting. Their attentions always been on someone else whether it be a teacher or student. It kind of scares me with how many friends they've made in a span of 2 hours.
'At this rate they won't have anytime for me'
Thinking about them hanging out with new people and possible replacing me for someone new makes my heart race from fear. I've always liked Y/n since childhood and these feeling continue to grow and I don't want them to stop. All I want is to make them and Nezuko happy. Whether it be just as a friend but I hope it can bloom to something more. My thoughts were interrupted when a figure appeared in front of me almost causing us to hit. Looking up I was gonna tell them to watch it (a bit of OOC) which I normally wouldn't due but I was in a foul mood right now. The figure was actually Y/n who was just as startled as I was.
"Oh sorry"
They apologize bowing a bit which makes my heart flutter. All the anger built up in me vanished once I spotted them.
"No need to apologize Y/n accidents happen and luckily neither of us got hurt"
I reassure them patting their head. I got lost in my imagination with them as a puppy.
'So cute how could I ever stay upset with them'
I thought smiling but was pulled back to reality when I can no longer feel their head in my hand.
"Thanks that's great to hear I wouldn't want you hurt"

Tanjiro Kamado

3rd person POV:
You peek at your phone to see what had happen. The data table showed Tanjiro's profile and a huge spike in relationship progress.
'When did it increase so much I should really pay more attention to this'
You though looking back up at Tanjiro who has a curious look as if asking what happened.
"Well I should get going to class now I don't know how much time I have until the bell rings"
Trying to walk past him and towards the science class room that was only a few feet away. He stops you though by stepping in front of you.
"Wait what class do you have now I could walk you there?"
He asks though it sounds a bit more like a demand. You were going to reply but was interrupted by another make.
"Oh it's you"
Looking behind Tanjiro you could see Muichiro approaching the both of you.
"Oh hi Muichiro where did you come from"
You asked happy to see your cloud buddy again. He points to the science classroom you were trying to get to.
"You two know each other?"
Tanjiro buds in looking back at Muichiro warily.
"Yeah he's my little cloud buddy it's that right?"
You answer looking at Muichiro for agreement which he nods. Tanjiro doesn't say anything but smiles though you couldn't tell it was bit strained from your angle.
"Well I should get going see you guys later"
Waving at the two of them before walking into the science classroom. Muichiro also walks away not bothering to wave back.
"Rude"
Tanjiro mumbled already not liking your "cloud buddy".
'He doesn't deserve their attention with an attitude like that'
He thinks but let's it go realizing he has a class to get to.
