Hey all!

This was a request I have gotten from my Tumblr.

I initially meant to post it there, but I've been having some issues with the site, so I've decided to publish it here first while I try and figure out what's going on.

As always, the art is not mine!

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy!

Request: Can you please write a oneshot where Fundy stumbles across Technoblade visiting his mother's grave and the two of them have a silent acknowledgment of how similar their pasts were?

Technoblade POV:

A mistake.

It was all a simple, tiny mistake.

Just a tiny wisp of the crisp, autumn breeze caused the nation to begin a Civil War.

It was all because the queen was a piglin hybrid.

The minority of piglin hybrids fought the pure humans of the nation, desperately trying to protect their hybrid queen, one of the last rulers of their bustling country.

Yet the majority of humans were outraged. How could they let a HYBRID lead their city? So they grabbed their weapons, and attacked.

The two parties viciously fought, leaving no mercy when dealing with the opponent. There were many gruesome deaths, and mothers and children of both the humans and the hybrids went into hiding, praying that they wouldn't be the next victims in this bloody free for all.

No one knew that deep in the castle ground, Prince Technoblade was packing all of possessions of value into his small, leather satchel. He left the castle through the secret entrance, and ran towards the mountains, never to be seen from again.

At least, not from his kingdom.

While the kingdom presumed he was dead, Technoblade was still very alive, though in a place one wouldn't expect.

Technoblade Flashback:

"Run. Just focus on running. Just keep placing one step after the other until you're there."

Technoblade repeats his mom's words in his head, over and over again, in an endless cycle. He was exhausted of running, but he had to keep pushing forward.

He wouldn't let her death be for nothing. He COULDN'T let her death be for nothing.

Technoblade let out a bitter chuckle as he briefly stopped for a bite of food. He would have never thought that 16 years of studying, fighting, and preparing to succeed the crown would actually be for nothing. Those 16 years would be burned in flames, along with his beloved mother, the QUEEN of his land, just because of a one, brief, wind.

If only the veil hadn't been lifted.

Heck, he didn't even care about the positions or titles. He didn't give a damn about the wealth. He just wanted his loving mom back.

He just wanted to embrace her one last time. He just wanted her to tell her that it was OK to be a piglin hybrid.

But it was all gone.

Technoblade realized that he was all alone as he reached his destination - the long forgotten kingdom of the winds, located in the luscious fields of the Greater SMP.
