Chapter 10

Mina POV

Time flies, Chaeyoung and I have been work close to a week and today is already Friday. I realise that Chaeyoung was a fast learner and multitasking girl. She did really well organised the schedule, she could fixed and arranged all the plan accordingly and and I surprised she could manage all planed with short break so that our meetings and events won't be hectic. Besides, I have taught her a lot of finance and management part. And she sometimes could brainstorm a lot of ideas to me too. So, our work become fast and productivity. I smiled when I saw her busy typing and focusing on her work. Then, I felt my phone vibrated and saw a message from Mr. Son.

Mr. Son : Hey Mina. Could you come to my office?

I furrowed my eyebrows in confused. Mr. Son never asked me to come to his office in this way. Normally, he will intercom or asked his secretary pass the line. I shrugged it off and replied to his message.

Me : Sure Mr. Son. I will be there shortly.

"Hey, I will be right back." I informed her before leaving the office.

"Sure." She smiled and thumbs up to me.

As soon as I arrived at Mr. Son office, he asked me straight to the point making me caught off guard.

"So, how do you think about my daughter?" He asked.

I tried to understand his question but I can't. Don't know why, his question making me felt heat on my face. So, I reconfirm his question as I don't want to embarrassed myself.

"Sorry? About her? Do you mean about her working?" I asked.

He nodded. Then, I mentally smacked my head. Of course he would asked that. What you expect Mina?

"Oh. About that, I could tell that she is hardworking, fast learner, and surprisedly a multitasking person too. And she is well in organised everything." I said honestly and smiled genuinely.

Then, Mr. Son furrowed his eyebrows.

"Are you sure we were talking the same Chaeyoung? Is she really a handful child and hardworking person?" He asked chuckled.

"Trust me Mr. Son. I didn't do sugarcoat and lied about Chaeyoung's performance. She really did and she really have all the potential to take over your position." I said.

"Perhaps this kiddo really grown up." He nodded and chuckled.

"So, how do you think about Chaeyoung besides her working performance?" He asked smirked at me.

I almost choked and quickly composed myself. I thought for awhile.

"Hmm, I'm just knowing her for a week. So, to say I'm fully understanding Chaeyoung that's possible." I said.

"But so far, she is friendly, polite to everyone and she will take care of employee too. Besides, I heard that the employees like her too and all I heard is positive feedback about Chaeyoung." I continued.

Mr. Son just chuckled and shook his head.

"That's good and bad at the same time." He said as he scratched his chin.

"Good, because she could get support from the employees. Bad because she would spoiled the employees because of her kindness." He explain.

I nodded in understandable.

"Well, thankfully we have you, Mina. Because you played the bad role in this hotel. And I thought if both you merge together to handle this business it will be more perfect." He continued.

"I just do me part and I promised I would always assist Chaeyoung once the business as hand over to her." I said smiled.

"I'm grateful to have you and put your all effort to work for me. But, I never changed my mind. Please reconsider to take part of my business. I always thought to hand over this business to you." He said.

"I don't think Chaeyoung could handle this all alone. Actually you're the most potential person to take over my business. Seems, you confirmed that Chaeyoung have potential too, I would like you and her to be part of the directors." He continued before I could protest.

"Think about it Mina. Let me know when you have changed your mind." He said patted my hand.

I just nodded.

"Again, thank you Mr. Son for your offered. I will think about it." I replied.

"I hope you would accept it one day." He smiled.

"Give me some time Mr. Son. But even I didn't accept that, I promise I will always assist Chaeyoung." I said sincerely.

"I know you will. Thank you Mina." He said.

"You're welcome, Mr. Son." I said and left his room.

I sighed. Mr. Son never gave up to asked me to be a director for a few years. Well, I'm still not ready for this and I'm happily work as GM in this place. I'm quite satisfy for my job and I gladly to assist Chaeyoung all the time when one day she become the Director of this hotel. Speaking of this, my parent also told me that this is a good chance but they respect my decision too which I appreciate a lot. Maybe I should think about it, but what would Chaeyoung think of this? Will she not happy with this? I sighed. I definitely have to respect her.

Chaeyoung POV

After Mina back to office, she seems a little off. She either would looked at her laptop's screen blankly or she will looked into the ceiling blankly. I wonder where she's going and what happen. Not just she went to totally zoned out but she went to quiet almost half a day. Everything she does seem off and to tell you, she is not that type who will be acting like this. Now its already close to 6.30 evening and we were ready to have a drink with her best friend. And until now, I still don't know what's his name. I tried to break the silence but she still seem off and blanked.

"Mina, its already 6.30 pm. Are we leaving now?" I asked.

"Mina?" I called.

"Mina?" I called again, but no respond.

She still look into her laptop screen with full concentration. When I next to her, to my surprised her screen was off and I tried to called her again.

"Hello, Miss Myoui?" I said.

She flinched and I laughed.

"Hey, are you alright? You seems a little off today? What's happened? You know I could be your ears if you want." I said to her.

She shook her head and smiled to me.

"Its nothing. I'm fine, just today there's a lot of task on my mind." She sighed.

"So, I'm a little out of the space today. I'm sorry." She said.

Then, she looked at me and glanced her watch.

"Oh, its time to leave." She said finally realise the time.

"Is it okay with you if we having a dinner with before join Jackson for drinking?"  She said.

I nodded my head in approved.

"Yes, ma'am." I said and salute her.

"No. No. Don't call me that." She gasped and said.

I just laughed and she also burst out laughed. Then, we when to restaurant nearby the bar we promised to meet her best friend.
