Venti shot up from his cosy bed (yes, british spelling) quickly catching a glance of the time from his failure of an alarm clock. 

"Oh shit-"

He was late. Yet again.

You see, It was Venti's first day to arrive at Teyvat Education. Being quite unpunctual, he knew he was going to be late. But not this late! After all, he only had to find out his new room, His actual first day would be in 2 days.

He bolted around his room, practically teleporting from place to place, from the bathroom, to the wardrobe, to the kitchen. Using his Anemo wind to glide him swiftly, he managed to get ready just in time. 

(Yes I drew that, just an idea of what Venti wore, lets just say that's his main outfit so I don't have to draw it again, pls I know its not the best, I'm not an artist :D)

He had his things packed in advance, he decided to be prepared for once. It helped, a lot. 

(Update, teyvat education is not a uni, college, or school its just some type of education place like a school but not? eh you'll see)

Xiao had definitely not heard that he'd be getting a roommate today. That's why when a certain smiley figure in green appeared at his doorway at 9am, he was pissed. 

"Who the hell are you?" 

"Ah, Hello there! Venti's the name! You must be my roommate?" 

The weirdo spoke in such a way that every word he spat out just angered him more.

"Go away."

~SLAM~

Xiao slammed the door right in Venti's face, showing the boy that he was clearly not welcome here. 

Venti was at the very least, shocked. He was definitely not expecting that. 

He hesitated before knocking the door in a rhythmic pattern for the second time. There was no answer. So, he continued his little melody of door knocks until the other would open the door. 

Before Venti could finish his knock display, the door swung open. It revealed a fuming and clearly annoyed boy, the same age as Venti, glaring at the taller. We know this "boy" as Xiao.

"Ehe, ahem. How was my lovely performance?" Venti laughed, looking the other in the eye. He knew very well that his amber eyes were not giving the happiest stare.

"Fuck off, I don't want a roommate." Yet again, Xiao slammed the door in Venti's face, this time much louder.

Venti let out a sigh, slowly reaching to try again.

"Venti? Venti!!" Called out a certain deep voice.

"Eh..Eh? Zh-Zhongli?" Venti turned to see a much taller male with piercing brown eyes, staring down at him.

"So it is you. You never told me you enrolled here." Zhongli said as he smiled, a warm smile.

"Z-Z-ZhO-ZhonGLIIIII!! *sniff* I MISSED YOU, YOU OLD BLOCKHEAD! *sniff*" Venti was quite literally crying as he wrapped his arms around the taller.

You see, the two had a love-hate relationship.  One second they'd be the best of friends, the next they're slandering each other to no end. Being friends since a very young age is what you'd expect from people like themselves.

"I too go to Teyvat University. It seems we have been re-united yet again Barbatos." chuckled Zhongli, patting the young bard's head as Venti burried his face deeper into his chest.

"Yay! That's great Morax!" The younger was overjoyed, jumping off the elder and quickly wiping his face with his sleeve. 

"But allow me to ask, what are you doing outside Xiao's room? Perhaps you're due to share a room with him?" Zhongli was always correct.

"Spot on ! Do you know the guy?" Venti tilted his head in question. 

"Well, as a matter of fact, I do happen to know him. Quite well actually."

"At it again, adopting every person under the sun, ain't cha' peepaw?" sniggered the bard, hopping back yet again, just for safety precautions. 

"Take that back this instant before I decide to leave you here to struggle on your own." Zhongli crossed his arms, vividly unamused. 

"Okay okay, I'm sorry! If you know him, could you perhaps help me? Help an old friend would ya'?" Venti gave the taller the puppy eyes, those puppy eyes could soften any.

"Alright. I will have a chat with him."

(Sorry Idk how to draw Zhongli so just imagine him wearing a casual suit?? Or whatever you want, I'm sure all of you are creative and imaginative creatures!)
