"Yah-oo~"
The two turned to see a familiar brunette speeding up to them, dragging a coffin shaped handbag with her on the way.
"Hiya Hutao! I was waiting for you, y'know. You're like.. 20 minutes late!" Venti sighed, shaking his head in disappointment.
"Hehe, sorry, sorry! I had... things to do." Hutao proceeded to grin the most smug grin possible. "Xiao seems he also, had a thing to do."
"Wait, What? Xiao you're busy? You should've-"
Venti didn't even get to finish his statement before Xiao practically teleported to the ghost-loving girl, seemingly hitting that part of her back (like those epic scenes in movies (◠‿◕) ), causing her to flop forward, and fall face flat on the ground in front of her.
Venti was in utter shock.
"What the heck?? Did you kill her?" Venti gasped, running up to the poor blacked- out girl, her long brown to red-ish hair spread around on the ground below her. "Why would you do that? Hu Tao! Hu Taooo?!"
Venti vigorously shook her, panic visible in his face.
"She's alive, don't worry. She should be awake soon." Xiao grumbled, scooping up Hu Tao, and throwing her over his shoulder. "Where were you guys going?"
"That's good, and I thought you had to do something? Aren't you busy? Don't worry, I can take her-"
"No. Where?" Xiao said, his ears visibly going red.
"If you say so... We were going to go to an ice cream shop? She said it was good, I don't know where though..." Venti sighed, twirling his braids in stress.
"I know where. Let's go."
Xiao immediately started walking ahead, so Venti could only follow.
The bard kept talking about random things, like how apples were so delicious to how some people sleep with their eyes open.
Xiao would just listen as Hu Tao snored very loudly on his shoulder. She seemed to have just fallen asleep.
Before they knew it, Xiao had come to a sudden stop.
"We're here."
Hu Tao took this as her chance, so she jumped up and ran straight into the ice cream shop.
"Thanks for the lift Xiaoo~!" She whistled, waving from the shop's door.
Xiao just glared at her, crossing his arms then shaking his head.
"Hehe, that was clever from Hu Tao. Anywho, You coming or going back?" asked Venti.
"I'll go, See you. Good luck with her." Xiao said as he turned around and started walking back.
