"Xiao? It's me. Zhongli. Open the door please." Zhongli called out loud enough to reach the other end of the door.

Quite immediately, the door opened. Much calmer than how it opened to Venti.

"What is it, why is he still there?" Xiao glared right through Zhongli, aiming his glare at the bard, who just returned a big, warm smile.

"Well this person is your roommate, Xiao. I think you could do with some company, don't you?" Sighed the old man, he had really had enough of the antisocial boy's stubbornness.

"No. No I don't need company. Useless. It's all useless." Xiao scoffed, looking down.

"Xiao." Zhongli crossed his arms and glared right at the shorter, who scooted back a bit in guilt.

Zhongli was a father figure to Xiao, and Xiao loved the man with all his heart. After all, he was always there for him, and saved him from his darkest times. He would really do anything for him.

"Tsk. Okay fine."

Xiao left the door open and returned back into the depths of the apartment, leaving Venti and Zhongli at the doorway.

"Thank you so much Zhongli! That would've taken a lot longer if you didn't happen to be here, heh." Venti grinned at the taller, the taller only sighing in response.

"It's no problem. You have my number, so text me if there are any problems. I'll leave you to settle in. Good luck." Zhongli waved goodbye to Venti and slowly disappeared into the hallway.

It had been a while since Xiao had made an appearance. Venti had been in the apartment for 9 hours now, being already settled in. It did indeed take a while, due to the fact Venti had to practically search for the room and his pair of keys, since Xiao would not answer to his cries for help.

Xiao had not come out since the morning and the bard soon started to grow concerned. So, Venti found himself knocking the same tune on his door.

"GO AWAY"

Well. Venti was expecting something like that to happen, so he did as told.

Venturing off into the kitchen, Venti searched for any signs of Xiao using it. And yes, he found a half-full fridge with meals ,water and much more.
