The lioness was looking right at him and Mukhtaar looked right at the Lioness.
Surprisingly enough, he wasn't scared at all. If anything, he was prepared.
He looked at the lioness with a fierceness in his eyes that he had never had before and the lioness looked right back at him with what looked like a fierce longing for revenge.
He waited in the tree for a minute more, waiting for the lioness to flee from him, but she just stood there and stared at him. It reminded him of the stareing contests he and his brothers used to have. First to look away loses.
So, seeing that the lioness wasn't going to lose, he did the only thing he could think of... he made his move.I cringe at the sight of this work of art.
