Chapter three~adventure

"so let's get this straight, you want us to come with you so you can fix your magic thingy," Jessica asked.

Y/n stood there before hesitantly shaking her head yes, "I have to fix the time turner, there's only one person who can do it in this time, because time turners aren't even a thing in the wizarding world yet" she replied, flopping down in a chair, Jessica ran a hand through her hair, "you are my best friend so of course I'll come, we just need to convince-" Jessica stopped. She looked at someone standing over Y/n from behind. Y/n tilted her head until the voice spoke up, "convince who to do what exactly?"

Y/n looked behind her and turned around, "Riddle-" Tom rose an eyebrow at her, "Riddle? I thought we were on a first-name basis."

"Oh uh- we are! My mind is just a bit foggy at the moment" she played it off, Tom rolled his eyes, "cut the crap, I obviously know something's going on," he leaned down to her ear before whispering "I'm very observant princess."

Y/n groaned before leaning back, "If you insist on knowing the truth I guess it won't hurt."

"I'm from the future, which you obviously already know. But this is my second time coming back to the future. I accidentally messed with my time turner and came back. But it's broken, so we have to adventure off to find the guy who can fix it." She explained. Tom nodded, "count me in"

~le time skip~

Y/n sat in Dumbledore's classroom as he explained a few things, "I did indeed find out where this strange man lives..but it's not going to be an easy journey." He sat in his chair. Y/n nodded her head, "i don't expect it to be an easy trip. Nothing's ever easy in this world." She replied.

"I'm glad you understand." Dumbledore smiled at her before a memory flashed across his mind. The older man frowned a bit, "There is something I must tell you, unfortunately, it's not a clue as to how to avoid the obstacles on your journey."

Y/n looked up at him, "what is it?"

"I did of course do my research," Dumbledore looked around through his desk drawers before pulling out a bulky book, it had drawings and pictures that she had never seen before. It made her curious, she sat forward to take a closer look.

Dumbledore placed the book softly on the desk before flipping to a marked page. He flipped the book around to her, allowing her to read what he had highlighted the previous night.

"TIME TRAVEL
CHAPTER ONE
there's a reason why time travel is no longer talked about in the wizarding world. The dangers are never-ending. Once time traveling once, you have already cursed yourself with many dangers. But the second time you travel to another century, you must have a way back to your time. If you do not have an easy way to access your home, you may want to get used to your new life. I have traveled to this world a few years prior to me writing this. I've realized by the time I got back to my time that nobody had remembered my name. I had been gone for too long, which was only a couple of days. So I'm telling you this, if you EVER one day manage to go back in time, never go back a second time, you'll be forgotten. Everything you've done, every word that was ever written about you will be gone. Nobody will remember you. Think before you time travel as it's a very dangerous game. If you do go back in time, you cannot stay for longer than the next full moon. That's when it will take effect. Safe travels, traveler."

Y/n thought for a second, "wait, so if I don't go back to my time by the full moon nobody will remember me?" she asked, Dumbledore frowned before giving his usual reassuring smile, "I'm sure you and your friends will be able to get there in time." he replied. 

Y/n stopped, "and if we don't?" she asked, Dumbledore took a sip of his tea, placing the cup back on the table, "looks like you'll be Tom Riddles Dark Queen after all" 

By the time y/n was done talking to Dumbledore about her adventure, he went to go find Jessica, who looked to be filling Lily and James in on the adventure. Lily looked annoyed, "there Is NO WAY I'm going on an adventure with Tom Riddle!" she exclaimed, y/n rolled her eyes playfully before walking up, "unfortunately he's already made it clear he's coming." she crossed her arms before looking at them. Lily groaned, "can we just leave without him?" 

"complaining won't really do anything Lily, y/n and Tom have a thing going on so of course, she's not going to be telling him no any time soon." James told Lily, Lily scowled before calming down, "perhaps I'll be happy for you since you are our friend," she replied, "She's also besties with your future son." Jessica added. 

Lily looked at them, "James and I shall better get going to pack now then. When are we leaving?" she asked, "As soon as possible," y/n replied, "tomorrow morning at sunrise, we have to fix the time turner by the next full moon." she told them, "The next full moon is in like-"  Jessica stopped, thinking, "6 days." she remembered, James nodded, "Todays Friday, so next Thursday." James added. Lily uncrossed her arms, "wait, why till then?" she asked, "because if I don't go back to my time by the next full moon, everyone's memory of me will be gone. nobody will remember me." she looked down, "so we have to go as fast as we can." she replied. 

The group nodded, before dispersing, Y/n made her way back to her dorm with Jessica, the two began packing up and rummaging through their stuff, they looked like they just committed a crime and are fleeing from the area. 

Both bags were packed and the two sat down on their beds, "its getting late, we should get a good nights rest before we go." y/n told her, Jessica nodded and grabbed her pajamas, "ill get changed into Pjs, goodnight, y/n." 

Y/n was already laying down in bed, "goodnight, Jessie." was all she said before turning off the lights, the only light that was seen was the small dim light of the bathroom before sleep consumed her.

question, I'm thinking of creating an original book but I need yalls opinion on it.

I'm not sure if I should create an original book once I'm done with this one. but I have more choices on what I should do.
