MITCHS POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was incredibly bright all of a sudden. I squinted my eyes, and they soon adjusted to light.
I looked around, the arena looked vaguely familiar, and I realized it was the one Mum was first in. Like this wasn't expected. I sighed and looked at the loot gathered around the cornucopia.
30
I saw boxes and bags lying everywhere, the good stuff like swords inside the actual structure. A glint of metal caught my eye, and I saw a gleaming bow and a quiver full of arrows sitting up against a box, close to the mouth of the structure.
20
I looked around, and saw Tyler standing to my right. I turned away and saw Jerome standing one person to my left. (A/N To da left, to da left...) He caught my gaze and we locked eyes. I indicated slightly, in a way we taught ourselves to do when we went hunting. I told him I wanted to run to the centre.
10
He nodded slightly and turned his gaze back to the loot.
9
I looked back at the centre and took a deep breath.
8
I bent my front leg, ready to run as soon as the cannon went off.
7
I wiped my sweaty palms on my jacket.
6
I closed my eyes, and tried to gather my thoughts, which were racing at a million miles per hour.
5
I bowed my head, and shuffled my feet around, trying to get the perfect stance.
4
I told myself that it was either me or them.
Get ready...
Get set...
Now...RUN!
The cannon boomed and I took off. I sprinted straight to the bow, slung the quiver over my shoulder and grabbed it.
I ran into the cornucopia and grabbed a sword, a dagger and an axe before running out again.
What I saw was the stuff of nightmares. Blood was flying, as I saw bodies lying on the ground and people running. I couldn't see Jerome anywhere, and I just hoped he wasn't one of the bodies.
I jogged around the cornucopia, trying to stay on my toes and keep moving.
I found Jerome. He was backed up against the structure with a cut on his arm and the boy, Rob, was pointing a sword at his throat. Jerome was holding two packs, one for me and one for him.
"Jerome! CATCH!" I screamed at him, before throwing the axe I had picked up to him. He looked at me, and caught it easily.
He was like a different person entirely when he was holding an axe, his weapon of choice. He chucked the packs to me, and advanced towards Rob. The look in his eyes was different to when we normally hunt. Now he looked...scary.
I watched, as Rob turned to run and Jerome threw the axe. With a sickening thud, the axe buried itself in the back of Rob's head and he dropped like a stone.
We picked up his gear and ran off to the forest.
Run for the bags.
2
You can do this. Get ready.
1
RUN!
I ran straight for the bags, picking them up without messing a step. I saw Mitch run straight to the cornucopia, and I trusted him to pick me up a weapon while he was in there.
I stood around, watching how everybody else was reacting. I saw Ryan grab a bag and dagger, then run off. I watched as Ty tripped Dakota, then plunged a sword into his chest. Ty and Adam ran off, carrying a fair amount of gear.
I felt a sharp pain run down my arm. I looked up to see that Rob had cut a line down my arm. I gasped and backed away, trying to avoid conflict, which is absolutely pointless in the games. I felt my back hit something solid, and I knew it was the cornucopia.
Rob walked towards me, his sword pointed at my throat. I heard someone run around the side of the structure and I hoped it was Mitch, here to save me.
"Jerome! CATCH!" I heard. I looked up, just in time to see Mitch throw an axe to me. I caught it easily and chucked the bags I had back to him, so that I had both of my hands free.
I had to push the thought out of my mind that I was going to kill someone. I walked towards Rob, and I could see the fear in his eyes. I had to tell myself that he was going to kill me if I didn't kill him first.
He turned to run, and I threw the axe, aiming for the back of his head. It was a perfect shot. The axe buried itself into his skull with a thud.
'Got that bitch!' I thought to myself as he crumpled to the ground.
Mitch and I looted his body, before we ran off into the woods, away from the carnage we left behind.
Hey guys!
I have done the first death chapter! YAY!
Anyways, the next chapter will be short snippets of the tributes that died, that is, their last moments before death.
I just wanted to say I have nothing against Rob/MrWoofless, or any other youtubers, I'm just writing a story here.
Vote, comment and share if you enjoyed!
Peace out doods!
