We ate dinner then I went to my room to get ready for bed. I only had a few clothes, so I decided to just sleep in my hobbit shirt and change into sweatpants. I laid in bed wondering of what would happen tomorrow, of all the people I would meet, and how much I would get to experience in just 24 hours.

-next day-

I woke up the next morning thinking everything from yesterday was a dream. But then there was knock on the door and Richard opened the door slightly.

"Lauren, time to get up, we have to be at the airport in an hour."

He left to probably go finish packing, so I got up and made sure I had everything. My little brown and gold suitcase I have had since I was ten and my backpack that was my school backpack during school time, but since I went to a private music school that I got a scholarship we were on a break for awhile. So I wouldn't have to worry about school.

I went to the bathroom to wash up and redid my braid. I went out to the living room and waited on the couch for Richard.

A few minutes later he walked out of his bedroom carrying one suitcase and a backpack. We went to the lobby and walked out to the limo waiting outside. We drove to the airport and what I saw at the airport shocked me. There were fans behind barriers screaming and waving. When Richard stepped out of the car the fans began to shout his name. I got out and followed Richard into the airport. He had a smile on his face and looked to me and said,"I don't think I have ever had so many people to greet me at an airport."

I chuckled and smiled. We walked to the gate for our plane. We got on the plane and went to our seats. Of course we sat in first class. Once we took off, I decided to finally ask Richard the question I had to ask him.

"Um, Richard?"

"Yes?"

"Why did you adopted me? I mean like why did you pick me when you had so many other girls to choose from?"

He smiled,"Because none of the others had something special to them. All they cared about was how good they were at something. All of them seemed so...shallow. But you were different. You didn't really care what you thought of yourself. You didn't come in trying to impress me or make me like you. You were just you."

I blushed and smiled sheepishly. "Well, I guess that makes it better."

He smiled then went back to what he was doing before. I put my earphones in and looked out the window at the clouds and the water below. For once in my life, I was actually happy and relaxed.

(Gah, I hate that these are so short!! I know the story is kinda starting off slow but once they get to New Zealand I promise it will start to get better.)
