I parked my car in front of Tommy's school. He was talking with one of his friends. When he saw my car, he ran happily towards it. He opened the door of the backseat and jumped in. "Put on the music woman!" he yelled happily making me laugh. I put on the music and started dancing along with him. After a few minutes, I started driving to Chase's house.

After a few minutes, I parked in front of Chase's house and dialed his number. "Are you at home?" I asked as soon as he answered.

"Yeah, he's at home" I heard Grace replied.

"You're at his place?" I asked and I heard her yawned.

"Yeah" she replied lazily.

"Well, I'm coming in" I told her and ended the call. Tommy was bouncing in the backseat happily. I got out of the car and opened the door. He walked out with a piece of paper in his hand. "What's this?" I asked him. He handed me the paper which I took gladly.

"We all drew something for her on the paper" he said and smiled at me. There was many drawings: princesses, Flowers or even cars, and in a neat writing was written 'Get well soon'. I suppose that it was their teacher who wrote that.

"It's beautiful" I told him and handed him back his paper. We walked to the door and I knocked on it. We waited a few minutes and being impatient as ever, I knocked again. I called them to tell them I was coming. Just as I was about to knock again, the door opened. There standing, looking hot as ever, Aaron smiled down at Tommy and once his eyes settled on me, he only nodded, motioning to enter. I walked in with Tommy holding my hands. My phone buzzed in my pocket. "Can you show him Emma's room, I'll be coming right back" I told Aaron and he simply nodded and Tommy followed him. I stood in the corridor and looked at the pictures hanging on the wall. I answered the phone. It was Aunt Lucy.

"Hey" I greeted.

"You picked him up?" she asked.

"Yeah, we're at Chase's right now" I told her looking at the different pictures of Chase on the wall.

"Kim" my aunt started and her serious voice made me more attentive. "Your parents called" she said.

"And?" I prompted.

"They want you to visit them" she said and I groaned. I heard footsteps and I saw Aaron appeared. He walked next to me.

"But I don't want to" I replied, ignoring Aaron who was looking at the picture too.

"They're your parents" she said sternly.

"Well, they didn't act like one" I backfired.

"Listen, why don't you call them and talk to them?" she asked and sighed.

"Just tell them that I'm not going anywhere" I told her.

"Kim, call them" Aunt Lucy ordered authoritatively. With that, she ended the call. I groaned and turned to face Aaron.

"Don't hate me" he suddenly said and I looked at him disbelief.

"I don't hate you" I said and leant against the wall.

"You're sure?" he asked and I nodded.

"Let's forget about everything that happened" I told him. "Friends again" I said. He smiled but the smile didn't reach his eyes. "What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I came to hang out with Chase" he said. "But he's hanging out with Grace in his room" he continued with a smirk. I chuckled. His phone rang and he answered. "Hello?" he asked. He listened and let me tell you that he was angry. He was glaring at the wall next to my head. "Why?" he demanded. "Okay, I'm coming" he said. He sighed heavily and run his hand in his head.

"What's the matter?" I asked and he shook his head.

"I need to go" he simply said.

"Why?" I asked.

"I can't tell you" he said and I glared. "I'm sorry" he said. "I just need to go and see someone" and then he did something I was waiting for. He kissed my forehead and walked out. I looked at the door. I was tired of all these mysteries. I took my keys and waited for him to go. I ran to my car and decided to follow him. I know it's not right but I had to know. I messaged Grace and told her that I had to go out and I'll pick them up later. I followed his car and tried not to attract his attention on me. What I wasn't waiting for is for him to turn in the parking of the hospital. I parked my car far from his and watched as he walked in. I ran and hide behind a wall. I was feeling like a ninja! "Nina Johnson" he said to the receptionist and walked up to the elevator. Once he was in, I was to the reception and said the same thing.

"And you are?" she asked looking at me curiously.

"Family" I simply said. "Kim Johnson" I said. Damn, I just invented this name. "Her niece" I said with confidence.

"Room 594" she said. She believed me! I smiled and walked to elevator. I waited patiently and when I heard the ting! I walked out of the elevator and searched for Room 594. When I saw it, I stood in front of the door and saw Aaron sitting next to a bed with a blond woman. She looked sick. Aaron looked weak.

"Mom" Aaron pleaded. "Please do as you're told" he said and Nina shook her head. His mother was beautiful but really pale.

"I can't watch you unhappy" his mother told him taking his hand in hers.

"I am happy mom!" Aaron said and smiled. But again, the smile didn't touch his eyes.

"Aaron, I know you" His mother said and run her hand in his hair. "You're my son" she said.

"Then listen to me mom" he begged.

"I'm sorry but I can't see you with Brittany" Nina said angrily. "She's blackmailing you!" she rose her voice then started coughing. Aaron rubbed his hands on her bad and the coughs decreased.

"Mom" Aaron pleaded. "Take your medicine please" he begged. Nina shook her head. Aaron clenched his jaw and when I saw him storming out of the room, I quickly opened a door and entered a room. I turned to see a little girl sleeping. She was beautiful. I walked to her bed and saw a paper. Her name was Tyra Jenkins. She got cancer. I looked at the beautiful girl sleeping and I don't know why but a tear roll down my cheek. After a few minutes, I got out of the room and walked to Nina's. I entered and she turned to look at me.

"Good afternoon" I greeted and she smiled but looked at me questioningly.

"Good afternoon" she greeted as I sat on the chair . "I'm sorry but do I know you?" she asked still wearing that smile. I shook my head. I looked at the door, afraid that Aaron would come.

"I'm Aaron's friend. Kimberly Perry" I started. "I followed him here" I said hesitantly and surprisingly Nina chuckled.

"Curious little thing, aren't you?" she asked and I chuckles.

"He wasn't willing to tell me anything saying that he didn't want to worry me" I said. "Will you please enlighten me?" I asked pleadingly and she smiled.

"Only friends?" she said sarcastically. "Well, I have cancer" she said with a weak smile. "And I don't have the necessary budget for my treatments" she said sadly. "So we got help from the government. Brittany's father is the one who decided who to help and she blackmailed Aaron" she said.

"Aaron has to date her else she'll tell her father to stop helping you financially" I concluded and she nodded. That bitch! I shook my head and smiled when I got a plan.

"That's why we can't do a thing" she said.

"Now we can" I said and she looked at me questioningly. "I'll help you" I said. "But you must not say a thing to Aaron" I didn't want him to know that I followed him.

"How are you going to help me?" she asked. I pulled out my phone and smiled at her. It was high time to call my parents.
