I was sitting on the bench, trying to cool down from the fight I had with Aaron. He can be such a jerk sometimes. I felt someone sat next to me and I didn't even bother to look who it was. I knew that it was a guy as he was wearing a short. "hey" he greeted. I rose my head to look at him and caught myself staring at a blond guy with baby blue eyes.

"Hey" I said with a smile. He smiled back and let me tell you that his smile was dazzling.

"I'm Nick" he presented himself.

"Kim" I said and he nodded. He was wearing a black tight shirt which was fitting perfectly his abs.

"So Kim?" he asked trying to make a conversion. "Why are you so red?" he asked with a chuckle.

"Ever heard of the expression, Red with anger?" I asked playfully and he nodded. Before he could answer, an annoying voice was heard.

"Nick! Why are you talking with her?" Brittany asked looking at me as if I was garbage.

"Why are you talking with me?" Nick backfired with a glare. "Didn't I tell you not to talk to me?" he asked again. Brittany huffed and walked away angrily.

"Do you know her." I asked.

"Sorry, My step sister can be a bit annoying" He apologized. My eyes widened. They were family.

"A bit?" I asked in disbelief and he burst out laughing.

"Try living with her" He said shaking his head. I shook my head quickly and looked at him with pity.

"I'm sorry for you" I said sincerely as he only smiled. We stayed there in silence looking at the guys playing football.

"What's your full name?" he asked me, breaking the silence.

"Kimberly Perry" I replied with a smile. "What about you?" I asked as he scratched his head in nervousness.

"Nicolas Aveling" he said.

"Nicolas" I said testing how his name sounded.

"Nick" he corrected.

"I prefer Nicolas" I told him.

"But call me Nick" he said. I playfully glared as he glared back. Obviously he didn't like it when people would call him Nicolas.

"But it sounds like dick" as soon as the words left my mouth he burst out laughing.

"You're sort of straight forward" he stated and I nodded.

"I hate hypocrisy" I cleared. He smiled and nodded.

"Then we're going to be great friends" I smiled at his words and turned my head when I heard Grace calling me out. She ran to us and smiled when she saw Nick.

"Hey Nick!" Grace said happily. "See that you met my cousin!" She said with a wink and wrapped her arm around my neck. Nick nodded and smiled.

"You suck as a friend!" Nick said while Grace faked hurt. "How could you keep such a beautiful lady away from me?" he said as amusement glow on his face.

"She's mine" Grace said playfully as she wrapped her arms around me. "So back off pretty boy" she said and Nick chuckled.

"I won't promise anything" he said winking at me. I knew that by now, my cheeks were redder than tomatoes.

"Good bye" Grace said and waved at Nick as she pulled me to where they were having the tryouts.

"Why are you taking me here?" I asked that I watched some girls warming out.
