I haven't spoken much about my jobs so I will do it right now. When I was 12, I did a lot of jobs like newspaper rounds and I helped out at markets and stuff. Around 14 I started working in shops, being the cashier. I did really well in school so I had a lot of options. I got 100% on most of my exams, except for one or two. I studied English, Maths, Science and History. I was really good at history and maths, I was still good at science and english but I definitely was best at those two. I really enjoyed them too. After I finished school I got the job of a chemist, with Alexandra, when we were 20. We both stayed at the job for 10 years until we both moved on.
As I said, I had a lot of options so I sorta had a big variety of what I could do. I thought about it a lot and after a while I decided to be a history teacher. I taught in a middle school called Lolabank, it was pretty cool and most of the kids were nice but this only lasted 5 years as the kids and teachers started to get on my nerves and I wanted to try out more things and go on more vacations.
I then quit my job as a teacher and had no job. I still had quite a lot of money because of my past jobs and not needing to buy much as I was a single woman with no kids to take care of anymore. At the age of 36 I met a man named Jerry. We were both single and
never really had our 'first love.' When I first locked eyes with him I thought wow, this man is a keeper! I knew he liked me too so I made the first move, despite being terrified. We were in a nightclub on a friday night so I asked him to dance with me, he said yes. We had such a great night, he even asked me to stay over. We both woke up in the morning together. Turns out I was pregnant with Robert. Everything was fine and I had the baby. Robert was 3 when he started his first year of kindergarten. When he was 4 he really wanted a dog and me and Jerry were open minded to it so that's when we got our black lab, Ash. He started school and not long after Blythe was born! He started saying he really wanted a little brother or sister to play with so fortunately his wish came true. They both grew up so fast, although it was a big struggle looking after two kids SEVEN YEARS APART!!! Things were going good and I was really happy until I fell pregnant with Augustine...the kids were 16 and 9 at the time. Robert was looking after Blythe a lot and he was moving out shortly so I didn't really have to do much at this point, but of course I fell pregnant. I was already 52 and Jerry 53 so that's very old to have a kid, but I didn't have the guts to put it to the adoption center so of course I kept it. Jerry was not having it at all, having a baby at 53 so he packed his bags and left. This is when I hit rock bottom. I was so sad and depressed with having a 9 year old and a 16 year old and not to mention being pregnant at the age of 53 on top of your partner just leaving you. This is when I realised no I'm not going to just sit around all day everyday and waste my life. Life's too short for that. I started having more fun and taking my kids places and going out for meals and genuinely just having a good time. I got over it eventually by realising you don't have time to waste. I gave birth to Augustine and brought her up as a good little angel (most of the time!) Robert and even Blythe helped out a lot which was handy. They were my best friends. I wouldn't change them for the world. Yes they can be pesky and annoying sometimes but I'm never going to stop loving them anymore, they are my life saviours. The only people I had left.
