As my kids got older, the less things I had to do. Like most of the time I would go on holiday with them, go to the cinema with them, go on walks with them, eat my meals with them but then I was more on my own. Augustine was now 13 and she was actually quite independent and didn't want to spend a lot of time with her mom. Obviously Robert was 31 and was getting married and Blythe was 24 who had her own house and boyfriend. I didn't really want another romance but on the other hand I did want more friends. Anyways I obviously can't make any money doing nothing so I decided to start making jewellery, which I sell online, sometimes I even set up a market at a fair or a craft fair. I like making things, from jewelry to pots. I have my own website, @www.mari's.crafts/.co.uk
I usually sell things from $10-150. It really just depends on how much time I spent making it and what it's worth.
It's really nice being able to do something you enjoy at the same time as getting paid for it.
I got older and older, still doing the same crafts and selling them whilst giving Augustine money to go to the mall with her friends! Obviously I'm at the old age of 83 while writing this so I can't remember every single detail but that was pretty much my life for quite a long time. Once Augustine grew up a little and went to college I was free again, after so many years. Of course I loved spending time with my kids and wouldn't take back a second of it but I was also really excited to have just a bit of time for myself. Without having to worry about anything. Life was good.
