We're moving

--Your POV--

"But mom!" I whined at my mother with a frown on my face. "No buts! You better start packing! We' re gonna leave in two days' time. Its time for your father to earn a promotion and we move to a better place. You better not ruin it young lady!" my mother shouted at me, but in a motherly way. "But this is a fine place!" I continued to whine and made a puppy face to melt her heart. But.. "Exactly it is a fine place and I said no buts!" "Urrgh, fine. Where are we shifting anyway?" "To Burgess my darling. Now I want you to quickly dress up and come down for breakfast" she said before shutting my bedroom door.

"Hmm.. What a great way to start a day. How am I supposed to react? Should I be happy for dad or should I be sad that I am gonna leave behind all of my friends here?" I thought out loud. "Mehh.. My opinions are not gonna matter anyway 'cause the decision is now "final" but I am really really happy for dad." I headed to the bathroom and started doing my morning routines.  

After all of that I headed downstairs to the living room and saw that mom's and dad's eyes concentrated on the laptop's screen. They were so engrossed that they did not even notice me coming downstairs. I sighed and turned my head towards the kitchen and saw a bowl of my favorite cereal ready on the kitchen counter. I got excited and almost ran towards it because I was DAMN hungry (sorry for the bad language XD) and started walking towards the dining table while holding the bowl in one hand and eating with the other. I placed the cereal carefully on the table and pulled a chair for me to sit, also startling my parents. "Good gracious honey! Its only you. Don't scare us like that again!" jumped dad earning a giggle from mom and me. "So whatcha guys doing so early in the morning?" I asked out of my curiosity. "Oh we were just searching for a good school for you in Burgess. Your father and I have come up with two schools and we want you to decide which one would you like to go to" mom said while handing me the lappy (laptop for short 'cause I'm too lazy to write the whole word XP). I saw two webpages opened on Firefox. One school was 'St. Martin's High School' (random name, sorry for that :C) and another one was 'DreamDisney High School'. ''Hmm.. This one is kinda interesting" I said while clicking the 'DreamDisney High School' webpage. I saw the website was quite attractive I must say. What caught my eye was the slogan of the school "Where all the students dreams are respected" (I have no idea where that came from o.O). "So what do you think" my father asked. "I think I'll go with this one. The other one is kinda dull. Ya mom you win" I knew the one who might have chosen this would be mom because she had a fun taste and father always have a dull taste (no offense!). "Haha I knew it! Yes!" she fist pumped in the air. "So DreamDisney it is" I heard dad say a chuckle has he saw mom do her victory dance. "I'm gonna go upstairs and do some packing now since we have only two days time" I said after finishing my breakfast. "Yes honey. You better" my father said while I went upstairs. I closed the door and turned on some music and got a huge suitcase out from my closet to start packing.

~~~In the evening around 6 pm~~~

"(y/n) Honey! Please could you come down for a minute?!" I heard my mother call for me. "Just a sec mom!" I replied while jumping up and down on the second suitcase in order to compress it so that it is easy to close. After closing the bag I ran downstairs to see that the bookshelves of the cupboard were all empty. I scanned the room some more and saw almost all of the living room packed except for the furniture (you know what I mean :|). "Wow. You guys are pretty fast" "Thank you dear. Oh and I called you down here because tomorrow morning we are going to your new school for your admission-" said mom but was interrupted by dad, "Because you got accepted in that school" I saw mom glaring at my dad. All of a sudden I heard the sound of rustling of plate in the kitchen. "Ah who's that?!" I shrieked. "Haha sorry dear that is just Amanda" said mom. I let out a breath I was holding and said, "Couldn't someone for once just inform me that you were getting your friend home mom?" "Haha sorry dear. Amanda was here to-" "To help you guys pack since I got nothing better to do" interrupted Amanda while coming out of the kitchen with a big box in her hands. "Why the heck is everyone interrupting while I'm talking since morning?!?!" mom exclaimed. There was a moment of silence for few seconds, then we all burst into a fit of laughter. I wiped a tear from my eye and looked around for a while. "How many rooms are left to pack?" I asked out of nowhere. "Little bit of the kitchen, the garage, the guest room and I am not sure about yours and your parents' room" Amanda replied. "I'm almost done with my room. Just 2 hours and then I'm done" I replied back. "Same here" mom and dad said at the same time. "You guys can be such kids at some times" I said while chuckling. "Even I am almost done with the kitchen then (y/m/n) and I will wrap up the garage" said Amanda. "Oh okay. Well I better go back  and continue packing" I replied while heading upstairs to my room. "Surely and we all should resume our duties" dad said. "(y/f/n) stop with the accent. This isn't your office" I chuckled to myself when I heard my mother say that while holding the door knob of my bedroom door. As I entered the room, I noticed that I still had my playlist on and started playing my favorite song. I started dancing while packing.

Today was the day. Today we were leaving (y/t/n) and heading to Burgess. 'I will never ever forget this place' I thought in my mind while getting up from my bed. "Honey! Your friend (y/bf/n) is on the line for you!" mom shouted from the hall. "Coming coming coming!" I shouted while running out of the door to the living room. Stumbling my way there I took the phone from mom's hand in a hurry and placed it near my ear.
"Hello?"
"Hi (y/n)! Oh my gosh I am sooo happy for you! Congratulations!"
"Thank you so much (y/fbf/n) but I'm still gonna miss you guys"
"But we won't" I noted the sarcasm in her voice and laughed.
"But ya I'm gonna miss ya. But guess what!"
"What?" I asked her at her sudden outburst.
"My cousin lives there in Burgess so we will be able to meet each other sometimes!"
"That's great (y/fbf/n)!"
"Could you come to my house for a minute before leaving for Burgess?"
"Of course silly! I'll be there in a few minutes"
"Oka see ya soon"
"Yeah see ya!"
"---"

"So better get ready quick if you want to be together for a longer time but be back before 6 pm. We will leave at 8 pm" my mom said while heading out of the door helping dad with the yard sale to sell out some of our unwanted stuff. I quickly took a shower and dressed up to meet (y/fbf/n) at her house. I grabbed an apple and ran out the door, greeting a few customers.

We were all ready to leave with mom in her car in the front, the moving trucks and dad and me in his car behind them. I din't even realize when I dozed off. The last thing I heard was dad's chuckle and a soft "Good night honey" and then black out.
